Here is a list of all the things players have agreed on that are Broken op/ bad gameplay and how riot hasnt removed these things but instead made more of them.

Getting killed or chunked by long range abilities off screen.

This was considered toxic by all the pro players back in season 2 and 3. Riot even agreed and heavily nerfed Nid who at the time was the offender with her Q being able to 1 shot people.

What has riot done recently? They created zoe, a champion whos entire kit revolves around this toxic form of gameplay. Then to make things worth they give her 2 other OP basic abilities that are also complete bull shit. Thus zoe from the moment of her launch has been widely hated. Riot also made kaisai who, as we saw in LCS this week can also heavily chunk you from 2000 range with no real cooldown.

Dying so quick you dont know what even happened

This has been complained about since season 1. It used to be rare and only a couple of assassins could do it (LB). Then over the years more and more champs where made that could do it (rengar, talon). It looked like riot tried to stop it by reworking the assassins. However they did a terrible job and later reverted the changes. Honesty it doesnt even matter this year because 90% of the roster can kill you so quick flash is the only counterplay.

Damage is too high

People stoped playing tanks in solo que because they die as fast as everyone else. They are also less likely to get ahead. So trying to be the frontline for your team in a snowball and damage heavy meta means you jump into a fight with 4k hp, 200+ armor and MR, and you die in less then 1.5 secs. You check death recap and it says you lost 1100 hp total in the fight, completely useless like always.

Damage is so high that tanks have high kill pressure even with out damage items. This has been an issue since at least season 3 when sunfire cape did more damage then champions. But now its even worth. We see orns killing singed in LCS. Orn/ sion out trading everyone in lane for first 6 lvs at least. In solo que a shen will win most duels and trades. I just played irelia and the shen killed me lv 5 by just landing 2 taunt q combos even though i was up a lv and 2 kills on him. Why do tanks do so much damage? Why do they tanks also die so quickly? Its because damage is way too high, and also because

Riot doesnt understand class balance

Why does riot buff tanks damage when they need buffs? Why are tanks allowed to out duel most match ups? Its because riot doesnt understand what a tank is and how to make one. Tanks should get extra benefit from HP and resistances. Riot used to know his which is why the older tanks have extra %armor(malphite) , extra hp benefit(rammus, mundo who used to be a tank) , shields and heals to amplify long fights and resistances (old mao, naut). Now all a tank is is easy waveclear, lost of base damage, early game tankyness, and cc.

Thats just tanks, but every class has major issues that riot just doesnt fix. Like marksman having self peel and high mobility despite the intended weakness of them is supposed to be getting on top of them.

Stealth is unhealthy and has low counterplay

Yes its apart of assassins thematic in most games. But gameplay over the years has shown that it is completely toxic in league, ESPECIALLY on assassins. Being able to kill your opponent with out being able to be hit is a single player exp and shouldnt be in LOL. Riot though keeps making this worse by lengthening stealth and making more stealth champions. Play the game 4 years ago and you will see eve was a problem then and now we dont even have pink wards anymore. Shaco stealth lasted a lot shorter. Akali had a longer cd on her stealth and it didnt giver he a free gap closer.

Now riot added pyke, yet another assassin with stealth. They just dont learn.

Riot changes champions to make leagues problems worse

Every other patch riot buffs khazix isolated damage saying "he should be rewarded for finding an isolated target". This however is short sighted and terrible design. Now for months khaz is unduelable early game because he will win 1v1 every time. You cant invade him and you cant fight him if he invades you.

The buffing pure stat check champs. Garen gets buffs over multiple patches and now with grasp auto wins all melee match ups top lane. Mundo gets buffed and now is a major problem because of how little counterplay there is in his kit. The patch notes are fill with bad changes every 2 weeks.

Itemization is just stupid

Riots like " hey every mage is building morello because its the best so we want to create better mage itemization". What riot did instead was make a better version of morello called ludens, change nothing about mage itemization except the items names and icons, and then adding more ad itemization.

Also alot of the major problems with certain champs has been the itemization. Ezreal is a problem because every item works with his Q (apllies on hit effects, has ap and ad ratio, reduces ult cd on hit). Yasuo and tryn either get stomped but then scale 2-3x as fast as every other champion because of kit synergy and crit, or they get a lead and become unstoppable stat checks because 1000 gold on them is worth 2-3k on everyone else.
Rageblade has been a problem since riot first messed with it years ago. They still havent balanced it. Trinity has been buffed to be soooooo good that a lot of champs build it now that didnt use to. Darius and garen build it now and will do more damage with it then with black cleaver or any other item.
Duskblade has been a mess since release. Why make an item that turns your champion into an assassin? Why create that balance nightmare? Why make essence reaver active an ad item when it should of been an ap item? Now we have champions that are op raid bosses right after they ult. Best part is the champions essence reaver helps the most are the ones that didnt need it. Renekton and lucian didnt need this item to be good in the current meta.

**Every new champion is bull shit, op, and overloaded. **

Ornn, kaisai, zoe, xayah, rakan, pyke, camille, ivern, kled, taliyah, tahm, kindred, illaoi, ekko, bard, Asol. All these champs have come out since 2014. All of them have been MAJOR balance and game play issues. Most of them still are issues but all of them are badly designed. Riot jus t doesnt make balanced champions with actual counterplay anymore. Take anyone of these champions and ask any high elo player if they have balanced kits, i dare you. Some of them have somewhat balanced numbers now but the kits themselves are still irritating as hell.

jhin and kayne are the only 2 in the past 4 years that havent been major problems.

98% of reworks have been failures

Lets list the few good ones first. Ashe, WW, Xin and urgot.

Every single other reworks did at least 1 of 2 things.
1: Completely alienate the previous player base and mains of said champion. Examples like Karma, Talon, Swain, Galio

These champions are nothing like they used to be game play wise. They dont fight the same, dont fulfill the same role they did before, and lost the reason why you picked the champion to begin with. Talon was THE aoe ad assassin. Swain was THE combo mage and drain tank. Galio was THE MR tank. Now these champs are played by different people because they just are not the same champions.

2: Solved none of the reasons why they where reworked in the first place. Examples like Swain, Ryze, Yorick, Eve, LB, rengar,

Swain used to be a mage that was very snowbally. He also was too good verse melee and not nearly as usfull verse ranged. His changes only made those problems bigger. Ryze is still op if ur good with him and weak if ur a normal player. His ability in most need of a change has stayed with him (rune prison). Yorick was a never played champion top and is now a rarely played champion top all because his visuals and them do not match him game play. He should be about ghoul control, instead he is just another q spamming split pusher. Getting a little more play now because of buffs. Eve still ganks you with no way of detection and kills you, except now she has cc that activates by landing any ability or autos. Its like if Ahri right clicked you with charm and to hit it all she had to do was land any ability or autos on u. Broken right?
LB and Rengar where so bad they got reverted.

Towers

Community tells riot for years that towers are too weak. Tower diving is too easy, Towers die stupidly quick. What did riot do? Reduce tower hp, Add more mobility and damage, Increase ap ratio on auto attacks verse structures, buff baron buff, Increase damage rift herald does, and give more incentive to get first turret gold.

Now a full build ziggs with lichbane can 1 auto and satchel a turret for 100% of a turrets HP. Other mages even with out lichbane do more damage to turrets then AD champs. Now towers are just memes.

Jungle Pressure

Many veterans will remember a time when junglers didnt have smite buffs. They didnt have 15% damage reduction on you when they gank you. They couldnt smite you for ranged true damage. They didnt gank you lv 2 full hp. They rarely ganked you lv 3 with doubles at full hp. They never had enough damage to solo a laner full hp unless fed. They didnt use to have 90% of there ganks be successful. They used to require skill and planning. Now lanes are decided more by junglers then by laners. Lanes get less and less vision every year.
Its pure BS that if i want the highest chance to win and solo carry then i have to play jungle. No other role has nearly as much game deciding power as jungle especially in this 15 min meta.

True damage is Unfair and as no counterplay

Riot no1 except you likes true damage. On vayne is was tolerable because the amount wasnt very low. Now vayne kils people in 3 hits anyway so it doesnt matter. No1 ever though giving Cho's ult ap and hp scaling was a good idea. Cho has for over a year now been doing 1500+ true damage per ult. The reason no1 complains about it anymore is because the game has even bigger things to complain about. Such as camile going typical skirmisher build, (trinity steraks ga and hydra,) and doing over 1000 true damage with just q. It has a 2 sec cooldown. Probobly a big part of why camile has been a massive balance problem since release. Now riot is making true damage items and runes. Then they wonder why people dont play tanks in solo q anymore and the game has devolved into 1 shotting everyone.

Runes reforged

Good idea, needed to be done, terrible execution. Damage creep been a problem for awhile, ever since keystone really. Now runes are super buffed with most of them geared towards early game. Wonder why games are so snowbally. Dont worry there is a defensive tree that does tons of damage too and makes you very hard to kill. We dont even need items anymore when runes gives you an items worth of stats from lv 1. No1 i know that is of decent elo (gold +) thinks runes reforged where good for the game. The higher elo players i talk to, the most irritated they are about it.

Matchmaking

Riots stance on matchmaking is absolutely shit. From the article i read they stated "Both teams should have nearly a 50% chance to win". That is the problem, not the answer. That is only the answer if everyone is played in the proper elo. Instead what this philosophy does is make it so its WAY HARDER TO GAIN OR LOSE ELO.

There are really only 3 ways match making can do it and all 3 are terrible. 1:If you deserve to be higher elo then matchmaking puts lower elo people on your team to balance out your performance and make it a 50% game. This forces you to hard carry every single game or get lucky to gain elo. 2:If you deserve to be lower elo then matchmaking equalizes it in your favor. This means if you can just play alittle safer then chances are your team will carry you since they are gonna be better then your opponents. 3: Match making finds equal players to equal the teams meaning your competing verse people in the same boat as you to climb. For example i was plat last 4 years. This year im stuck in gold. Every game there are other plat players in the games meaning i have to win verse other plat players while relying on a team of mostly gold/silver players. This means most games feel like its you and maybe 1 other player with 3 feeding noobs making retarded plays versing another team thats the same. So the game basically becomes who can take advantage of the other teams weaker plays better. And when the meta gets so snowbally like it is right now then its really, whoever has the better jungler wins. Or at the very least, whoever has the biggest feeder loses. Since damage is so high, being more skilled then the other player matters far less and instead the champion you are playing matters way more.

Match making should be, if im plat and im in gold then i only have to beat gold players to gain elo and i have gold players on my team. Instead its i have to beat plat players to get through gold and i have to hope my gold players dont feed so hard that i cant carry.

AT this point i have to either play along with the fiesta or quit playing. I and many others enjoyed this game for the skill expression it had. Thats almost all gone now. I hate fiesta games. Thats is why i along with almost everyone on my friends list is quitting. This is why the community is getting increasingly toxic ( games become total BS). And finally this is why you fix core issues and learn from your mistakes instead of creating "flashy play champions" and "new and exciting kits".

** Riot you sacrificed counterplay and skill expression for cheap tricks and sparkles. You are not the same people that made LOL a world wide success.**

so ya, im uninstalling. There are so many better games i play that its not worth the time or effort to even see the year through.

Pre 8.10/8.11 I might agree with you but only duelists are really being played as they are only ones who really stand a chance being 2-3 levels down on solo laners for 4-6 minutes in game (longer than when they were above solo laners at 2-3 minute timeframe pre 8.10) so the non-meta ones result in carry/funnel mostly or plain out lose.

Can't plan much anymore when 2-3 levels down on laners every game.
