Basically, riot made it almost impossible for players to unlock all their monthly chests playing alone. The key fragment drop rate gets extremely higher on a curve the more you obtain. Most solo players are forced to leave their boxes unopened, or buy keys. I get that they are trying to promote social play, but at least give solo players enough key fragments to open all of their boxes, and give premades extra keys for when they are too busy to play.
I dunno what your talking about? i've gotten 10+ keys last 3 weeks its not hard just play the game and enjoy yourself ;/ Its free stuff Naturia stop complaining its ment to have low droprates so you don't unlock all the skins making RP useless
The main reason people can't open all their chests is because the system is designed around getting one chest per week, but not the initial 4 we got on the first week. If you find yourself with 3 or fewer locked chests then just be patient. Over the course of the season there may be a month where you get really lucky with key drops and get ahead enough to start unlocking your bonus 3 chests that you got at the start.
Riot didn't design it that way to force you to buy keys, those are just a trap for impulsive spenders. It is never cost effective to spend money on Hextech Crafting though. It makes more sense to just wait for sales.
I think that they want solo to be 24/7 farm to get your keys, and premades actually make getting keys a casual experience.
It's the same thing as Blizzards going through right now. They know their getting dethroned and losing their audience, so they're trying to rip every penny out of who's left.
i beg to differ, i ALWAYS go solo and i currently have almost 3 keys in my inventory. Riot didnt want the chests and stuff to be hand-outs, they wanted to give players a reason to excel in the game
