Dynamic queue is a form of Elo Boosting

It takes hard work, commitment and buckets of blood, sweat and tears for players to earn a high ranking in League of Legends. Boosting devalues the commitment that many of our players make to earn their rightful place among the world’s best League of Legends players. Leagues system has always been carefully tuned so that players are placed in the proper tier with others who are within a similar skill level. If a player’s MMR is boosted unnaturally they will most definitely falter when they begin to play ranked at that tier. If a player is unable to keep up with the other higher MMR players in their match they will most certainly degrade the game experience for everyone involved.

Though I don't understand why people don't consider this as a form of boosting. Oh look, I hopped on a smurf and carried my bronze 5 friends out of bronze, but it's not boosting because we played together! they actually belong in their new rank!. /s

Also, DQ devalues rank. Oh you're playing with friends? Wouldn't that encourage you to fuck around more? A more casual place to "have fun" with friends?

inb4 riot bans all premades for elo boosting

Season 6 needs to be saved. This season ranks can't be taken seriously due to how messed up the dynamic queue is.

not just that, lower elo players are constantly getting shat on by smurfs boosting people for money. The game's current state is disgusting yet riot doesn't seem to give half a shit about competitiveness or balance and instead focus on pumping out unwanted skins and iconics to cash in on the little kids with daddy's credit card.

Bunch of hyperbolic nonsense. But that's to be expected by the anti dynamic que these days. Ugh.

When a Gold 1 can play with a Silver 5 ... yea that's exactly elo boosting and I want Riot to understand how unfair this is.

As someone suffering as a solo player in an environment flooded with boosted bronze players (gold) I couldn't agree more. I don't even take ranked seriously anymore and I don't think I have the energy to try win anymore when every single game some lane ALWAYS AND I MEAN ALWAYS starts feeding before I've cleared my second jungle camp, I mean, what the fuck? Really? Gold? Really? This stinks of bronze league so much that I don't even take pride in my gold badge anymore, gold = bronze, literally, thanky you DQ, thank you Riot.

Imo theres limits on what this can accomplish. You eventually end up with your silver smuck getting stomped by a plat every game, and even if the team is 4 diamonds its hard to outcarry that because a plat will at least understand how to not feed. Only way someones getting boosted too far is if the rest of the team can basically 4v6. Based on the time i spent grinding 5s last season, id say one weak player can make the game pretty unwinnable against competent oppoments.

By this logic so was Duo Que.

I've been wondering how everyone gets mad at pre mades and say its not accurate, but what if I've been duoing with the same person I duo'd with back during the old system? is that still not accurate? If I do that have I not earned my rank?

Pykel4/10/2016, 9:03:31 AM2 votes

ya, waiting in a 15-20 min que for a gold game then playing with 4 man premades is not fun.

ahahaha... cough

...nope ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha~

Also I cruised through silver I and my gold promos 3/3 first try with one bro who was silver IV at the time, so I dunno what that truthbomb does to your worldview (and I'm not the carry type; more of a suppungle). I know that old duo queue introduced unfathomable levels of fuckery to an already deeply flawed matchmaker. Also if a notably lower player can play with a higher player and still perform well enough to win, maybe they're good enough to play at that level but just not good enough to carry random scrubs? These are different skillsets, after all.

While solo queue should absolutely exist for the people who want it, dynamic queue in and of itself is fine. I like that I can bring more than one friend along. Most of its problems stem from Riot fucking up in other areas (their insistence on non-Thresh supports being unsatisfying to play driving everyone but support mains out of the role and driving up queue times, for instance).

There is a cap of the difference of tier in Dynamic queue, so the chances of ELO boosting really are minimal.
