AP itemization is ghastly

Every time, there is some kind of change to AP Items - you guys manage to destroy it - making it already hard for AP to succeed in the game but again making AD style champions far more stronger in every sense of the word.

First of all you increased the cost of last chapter by 200 gold for a measly 10% cdr buff?! Makes absolutely zero sense. 900 gold was a fine mana reliant item for AP. 1100 gold is obscene for an early game buy for AP. When do you expect any mid laner or AP in general to buy wards or even pots? Again a direct nerf to AP. https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-EhAkgv4F750/WnoWVQxsbbI/AAAAAAAA4eg/KcZoIJWyMqINh2U1ulDcUHeR3B4wJvaTQCLcBGAs/s1600/DknaNzE.png

Destroyed morellonomicon and made it into some dreadful and vacuous item that it never was from day 1. IT has NO mana, NO mana regen, gained 300 health 15% magic penetration, lost 20 AP. Went up in price by 100 gold just to inflict grievous wounds? AP now has no items now that allow mana on kills. For better poke, mana management and team fighting capabilities. Again nerfing AP when all AD has todo is AA. Like c'mon, favoritism to a skill less style gameplay. https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6Qyik-ty5GI/WnoXJsR8U8I/AAAAAAAA4fA/ZBkLsUwoAjkbaDB6PgN4qKx-kSVpRn2rQCLcBGAs/s1600/6R0LKYS.png

Why is Ludens echo given 500 mana at the cost of 20 AP? But no passive scaling buff to echo? .10% still? and still 3200 gold?! https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9nI6lD5sOZ4/WnoWl2JUKLI/AAAAAAAA4eo/2k8W3dCTBscEON_pzf8zZ2t5q1Bitn2dgCLcBGAs/s1600/1.png

While Hextech GLP-800 Gains 500 mana basically 20% CDR and maintains an active 35% ratio. For only 3000 gold? https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nTOPSGrRITk/WnoWl1bS9MI/AAAAAAAA4es/WTsid7mIeMEjG2Gk6ZDkp5tljxbKccdPACLcBGAs/s1600/f4Kr1dJ.png

Liandrys torment is a manaless item that gives 10% damage increase and some health shred.

You give different ways of allowing AP to be these bursty style champions, but at the lack of raw AP meaning their true power comes from their cooldown on active itmes, for high gold costs and the cost of effectively using their own abilities because their AP and taking away their team fighting mana regen capabilities that morrellonomicon allowed them.

And above all else, When you put a full AP build or even a 3 item build side by side an AD style one(can even be with the new items), AD is more cost efficient! AP again is forced to pay obscene amounts of gold just to be a mage? Explain the logic.

Give Luden's a passive scaling buff. Give Archangel's staff, Ludens and Hextech GLP all mana on kill passive. And what about Rabbadans?! Why in the world is this item still THE most expensive item in the entire game for 3 seasons now, without ornn involved? And leave lost chapter at 900 gold.

Looks like they assume everyone uses the CDR to AP conversion rune, which is a problem in itself because that says "We don't want to balance the runes, just have one used."

but you are missing the most important part. The return of the Spooky Ghosts.

So this is what being delusional looks like

mage items shouldnt have mana but have higher damage along with the removal of mana flow bind so you actually would need to think about what to do instead of just spamming your shit everywhere hoping for it to hit with no real downside

Manaless mages like Rumble can now build Morellos. Also all these items now give CDR and some of them plenty of mana. That means that you shouldn't need to get mana back when you can just stack a ton of it, and the CDR improves the burst combo access and makes it less taxing on your peel to farm with spells.

If you read penguin's description that he posted, he addresses a lot of your points. You are writing this based on the assumption that many of these items occupy the same niches; if they were to do that, there's no point in reworking the items.

Before you got either luden's proc or liandries pen second item, now you can get both. I haven't crunched out the math, but I'm willing to bet that it is a pretty sizable chunk of increased damage for mages mid game. Also lost chapter was given that price hike partially because of the cdr and partially because they want losing lane to be more punishing.

You do realize Liandra's is getting changed from Current to Max HP, right? That's not just "some damage." That means Morg is gonna drain you. That means Zyra is going to drain you. Vlad is going to drain you. Mordekaiser is going to drain you. Karma is going to drain you.

Game's gonna be pretty scary with how hard Morgana's gonna play with it. She will be able to reset cooldowns, and guarantees about 4 seconds of hit on Q, and guarantees 6 seconds on her ult at least. That's up to 24% damage on one combo from Liandra's + her scaling. She's going to kill juggernauts again.
