I love playing support and will use that role to climb through ranked soon. In order of preference I play these champs. Utility Support Tank Support

Should I be adding anyone else to this list? As in, is there a must have support that I don't use?

Leona seems like someone you could learn for tanks.

Bard is tricky but really damn rewarding when used right.

there isn't really a must have support but you can play taric or leona tanky support or brand ap support and any other's you might see fit

must say the only iffy one is fiddlesticks he can be strong but is hard to go by

ps if you can play a good trundle support you're golden i myself play nautillus support for the insane cc

supps cant carry unless you go a ap supp like brand annie morg lux zyra zil so on and so fourth

I didn't mean carry in that sense... I don't try to carry as a support, but will re-itemize to do so late game.

blitz is the supp that can carry becuase no matter how you build him he is very strong whether its ap ad or straight tank . ap blitz literaly 1 shots most champions

Depends what you mean by carry. If you mean "get kills" then sure. But if you mean change the game, i'd disagree. It's controversial, but I strongly believe as a tank you can really change the game in a subtle way but taking teleport and building a Zz'rat Portal as your third item.

I see a minion wave coming down a lane. Port there, dropa portal, return to mid. I'm not only staving off the wave, I'm making a ton of money, helping in the team fight at mid, and occasionally taking a tower. The major element at play there is that no one is watching the bot/top lane, nor are they seeing the portal adding new minions (or assume you're making money there).

i literally got my adc and mid 8 kills each by myself i ganked lanes more then the jungler and i still lose becuase garen was to strong and didnt build right to counter the hp and armor nor did the mid. and zz portal is a build type item build because the voidlings damage scale off hp so inturn the more hp you have the more damage they do. they used to scale off armor and mr not anymore. it doesnt matter how good i had done as leo wasnt good enough. the reason i stopped using taric as much is becuase A he is outclassed by the other supps and jack of all trades supp but not really that good . he is meant for peeling not so much the engage he needs a rework badly.

Well he's being worked on now. So we're ok there. If you like Taric, just play Braum.

i can see the likeness but you see my point taric is easily the worst supp in a way . i mean look at everything he has as a whole youll see yes he has a lot but is the jack of all trades supp but nothng fantastic about him. ive done better going top lane with him to be honest. more armor is more damage output.

Again...he's now being worked on. By March you could have a brand new Taric.

taric is real good if you build cdr with your defense and slight ap you can always have a spell up if you cycle with your passive and in turn have all your self on basically 3 second cd even if the cd says 8. taric is bad because people take him as a straight tank or support there fore he doesnt have the ability to play off his w passive because he isnt building enough armor for it be be very useful nor is he building much damage he could be great top lane as a fighter with slightly larger numbers and a larger range of damage on his w. there seems to be little vision in riot they seem to release champions with how they will fuk up existing champions in mind but dont keep in mind how they will end up squashing older champions on the other end from the perspective of older champions you can slightly shift other champions when you release a new one but they seem to only keep a small group to watch over and dont seem to rotate this group the group may have been large years ago but when you want to keep adding champions then you have to realize you need to manage more. then again i dont work at riot or monitor them i dont know how much they work.

I guess it depends on your playstyle. I love poke so I play Vel'Koz and Zyra. I also really like Nami and Leona too. Try them and pick up Janna too. I've lost a number of lanes to Jannas

For your mages, you want to pick up Zilean and Janna. For your tanks you want to learn Nautilus. those 3 are some of the tops this season. Learn them if only so you can counter them.

I own Zilean and Janna but haven't really "learned" them yet.. Nautilus I will look into.
