Make it so blue essence can be used to make runes and rune pages.

Th...That's actually not a horrible idea; Riot has said they don't want RP to be spent on runes, though, and technically this could have this happen...

Runes don't cost RP, they're already technically "free" I don't think you understand the situation.

Right now, players who own every champ don't benefit from champ shards or blue essence. But those are mostly the same players that have more IP than they'll ever need, and probably own all the rune pages and runes that they'll ever want as a result. So would this really be the best way to expand the usefulness of champ shards/blue essence?

That's actually a really great idea... At first i thought they could just convert it to IP (or RP), but i see it in a new light now, ty.

That doesn't solve the problem at all. Players who have all the champions more than likely have all the runes and pages they need.

Chests and keys are purchasable so you could purchase those to get blue essence to get runes. Runes not being purchasable for RP is intentional to prevent arguable pay to win situations. Rune pages i could agree with certainly.

They should eliminate blue essence entirely and have all shards disenchant to a single kind of essence, or else Hextech chests should stop giving you champion shards when you own all the champions.

Or just get rid of Blue Essence all-together and instead add Champion shards add to your Orange essence, so you could get skins, champions, etc., so long as you have the shard.

but I have 20 rune pages, all the champs and every rune I want, with 250k IP for something, blue essence to a lot of players is just another useless currency riot has you earning but nothing to do with it, they should just take it out of the game along with IP. OR make it so that you can trade IP, so people can give IP to their other account, then people can trade IP for RP, and riot gets more money, as for blue essence being able to turn like 2k blue essences into a random skin shard should be a thing, but they will prolly just let it sit there and be useless like IP

As much as I support the idea and am in need of more rune pages, there's going to be a point where blue essence just accumulates for people who have all runes/rune pages, just like right now for people who have every champion/rune. I feel like Riot wants stuff in Hextech to be something that's always useful, not just sitting in your account

Make Blue Essence able to convert to Orange (and Orange to Blue).

Even if it were at a 10:1 Ratio, I'd be fine with that. Better than having all this Blue that I can do literally NOTHING with (I own all the Champs, and can grind the LP for each new one by Release).

Couldn't they just let you turn blue (along with orange) essence into gemstones?
