Fix Ranked Next Season
Is it just me, or does this season feel like ranked means a lot less? I mean, I won't lie it is not just my team mates or the enemy that feels this way. I will try champions for my first time in ranked, play unorthodox things, hell even will troll sometimes when my team insists on being toxic and playing horrible. Here is also something weird, people don't care what you play unless its Janna mid with smite and cleanse. Really, pretty much everyone I have come across will take -20 LP than -3 LP, because dodging means waiting a long time to queue, and then having to deal with the already long queue times. It has come down more to playing ranked games, than really winning them. People are more likely to troll, play while tilted, first time a champion, play someone they don't use often. I feel like the reason is rank has been devalued. With dynamic queue earlier in the season a lot of people achieved ranks that they didn't deserve, and all of those solo queue players had an extremely hard time. Now they have to deal with literally boosted team mates, and on top of that nobody takes ranked seriously by now. I can actually say this is the worst season for ranked.
Next season, dynamic queue should be removed. Not because I hate dynamic queue itself, I think playing with friends is cool, but just because it devalues ranked game play. On top of that MMR should be heavily reset. Yes, the gains will normally be 20, but the players who aren't high diamond or above will be left with the task of climbing up again. If they deserve to be a higher rank, then they will achieve it, however if they were given an inaccurate rank this season then they will be more likely to achieve a more realistic ranking. This will give ranked is value back because players will play no advantages or disadvantages, and the majority of players will be where they belong, meaning those players looking to climb aren't faced with the task of carrying heavy teams, and the players who aren't that good won't continue to climb because of their skilled friends or just simply team work.
