I'm rehashing the mastery level argument
At this point in the season, I have already received my chests for the champs I play the most. I don't really like playing normals and am content with my role selection/champ pool. The current system sucks for those who take the game seriously and want to play a limited number of champs in ranked. I've been playing some champs more this season than last (e.g. hec, nami, and leo), and at this point I can't receive any more chests from the champs I am strong with in ranked. The chests I did open this season were all skins and unless I play other champs I don't normally play in norms, I will not receive any chests until next season.
Champion mastery makes it seem as though skill should be the decider in earning an emote. But at this point, I would have to spend money, or play a completely different _ champion in order to receive a chest but luck decides whether or not that chest will have a champion shard. To be clear,** I cannot play any more Nami games to earn a higher mastery on Nami.**_ That's a little backwards, don't you think? Could we have champion chests reset each month? Could we use IP to purchase chests? Yes this is a vain concept, but vanity is the whole idea behind champion masteries. The current system does little to reflect whether one has _earned _ their mastery and is based more upon playing a larger pool of champion and spending money.
