Came back after a couple months of break from League, figured I'd give it another shot. Hopped into a few games, and holy f###### s### , everyone kept pumping out damage like assassins, even the supports had damage! What the f### Riot, the game has gone to hell in a hand basket!
Now I remember why I took the break in the first place.
The changes to the UI and such are rather pleasant though, and the new emotes for the forum are adorable.
Why are there so many downvotes when it comes to damage being so high? Go into a practice game and compare the damage going from something damage-neutral like phase rush to something like electrocute. Watch a game from a previous season and compare the time-to-kills.
The damage is so high that bot lane has gone from a strategic dance of negotiating power spikes and openings to a snowball. Solo lanes, missing a wave means that you are pretty much out of the laning phase if your opponent abuses the advantage. Can't say anything about jungle since I rarely subject my teams to the horror that is my incompetence in the role.
with the exception of 1 nasus game, all your match history shows quinn with PD.

..... Supports have always had damage. Have you lived under a rock since s1? We just arent forced to buy just wards now, so we can scale better.
Last game I played Jhin literally 1 shot me with storm razor proc thats all wasnt even late game, I was xhayah but still. Riot want to get rid of champs that can 100-0 you (

I vote to overhaul/remove runes. IDK if they are the main issues or just a supplement issue, but most of them are just there to give you more AD and AP. And for the dumbest things like dashing, or rewarding you for stunning someone. or being in the river. Comet, scorch, and airy are the worst. All they do is add more damage for doing damage. At least Electrocute you need to have a right champ, or to go in for a strong trade or all in.
Look at 
right now. He build GotU, Demolish, and Overgrouth and watch as towers start exploding for you going full tank. Demolish is the key to this stupid build that has Reddit's panties in a twist. If it wasn't for it blowing towers up so easily then all Sion would be doing with this build is feeding
We can mostly blame the support rework that occurred that broke the entire list of true supports. 
[zombie-nunu-bummed]. Shielding and healing have taken a massive hit this season while damage/assassins have taken priority. Kinda of a shitty meta imo.
I mean, people keep saying this to me, but in game, I have yet to see a Yi that can 1v1 me on my Rammus unless I am really low on health or don't have my thornmail yet or something. Mid/late game, Yi is dead every single time unless he catches me with stuff on cooldown or with low health.
Also as far as conquerer is concerned, you do realize that the more damage that gets through Rammus' armor (like true damage) the faster they kill themselves, right?
You know who kills my rammus every time?
A few others as well, but those are the two worst to deal with.
