Quick question about new draft

Why don't people who put in "fill" as their role just get put into a match as a "fill" player instead of getting assigned a role? Get 4 fills? They can sort it out in match. Get 2 fills and one of them doesn't like the role they got? Well this way you know who may be another fill player. Now you two can just switch.

Why is this not just a thing? There's probably a number of players who get stuck with a role they can't actually play just because they went "fill" only to never know that somebody who could play the role and also doesn't gives a rat's ass where they go was in the same game, able to trade. But no, they get too scared to say something or to ask somebody to trade.

You know you can trade with people if they want, right? Just ask. Labeling a bunch of people as "fill" just allows the old arguments that this system was designed to avoid. People would just pick Fill to get in faster then demand the role they really wanted.

Very good point. Let's not leave ambiguity open to exploit.

I'm aware, but I actually was in a match against an enemy team we thromped. They kept blaming their support, who replied with, "I just went fill. Sorry..."

To which they had somebody else pipe up with, "Wait, why didn't you say something then? I was just filling top."

Getting placed into a role isn't final, but a lot of people certainly assume so. And using the same argument, why wouldn't people just go support then and then tell people in the game, "I can't actually support, can somebody switch me"? People would do the same thing either way because people tend to be scumbags. The exploit is already being exploited.
