Hecarim can barely clear the jungle as is now. Now more nerfs after this patch?!

his winrate isnt even high...neither is he getting played that much. Yet riot chooses to leave graves, tryn and yasou alone. I dont get the new hp nerfs. For us hecarim mains at least give us a compensation buff in the jungle neither item is that great for starting off in the jungle and with new mana nerfs I can only imagine...

I just tested out Hecarim's jungle clear in a custom game, without a leash. Started Machete with three potions.

No leash. Full clear of aggressive jungle camps at 4:02.

I know I was pretty much dead at the end of it but you can hardly say a champion can barely clear the jungle when they take out all the creeps without a leash.

Hecarim has no problem clearing the jungle.

I am not going to pretend to be a Hec main, but jungled twice with him tonight and cleared just fine. It was actually very safe and easy... Not sure what you're doing wrong.

I mean. Just looking at his top stats experienced players have a 64% WR with him. That is ridiculous given that the average is closer to 55%.

The buffs for the talisman and the MR debuffs on the jungle creep will help him. Don't worry, you will be ok.

removing the creep walking from his passive is almost entirely a nerf to his laning actually, since he can't rely on prancing through minions to get strong trades off anymore. A ganking hecarim will still gank well, and a farming hecarim won't notice the issue in the jungle at all.

If anything, this seems like a preliminary nerf so they can buff him in the jungle without overbuffing his lane strength.

Hes getting Nerfed because his top lane has been pretty dang strong recently

BluePolarizer11/25/2015, 2:56:52 AM1 votes

g fuckin g.

Hecarim isn't even a high win rate champ, isn't a broken champ and has clear counterplay, yet now there's nerf after nerf. There have literally been zero buffs for Hecarim in all of history and it seems like a season cannot go by without a nerf. Now he has zero tankiness and cannot do shit to enemies in lane or during ganks.

Eventually Hecarim will be less tanky than Sona, deal less damage than Soraka and have the utility of Garen AKA become the worst champion in the game.

Talisman is a decent starting for Hecarim since it helps his mana problems and it makes his W proc it on every monster for a good bit of early heals. You don't seem to be starting Talisman either, so that may be the problem since Hecarim hardly benefits from the enhanced damage on basic attacks from Machete compared to Talisman.

Hecarim can barely clear the jungle as is now.

People keep saying this, but I've honestly not had this issue. =/

The health nerf hurts, but I don't think it'll effect him too much. The passive nerf I'm not sure on, it won't effect his ganks at first, but if you have to chase...

JusKil11/25/2015, 6:52:56 AM1 votes

Ill admit I did try the flask a few times since its preseason and noone knows wtf is going on. On top of that its a recommended item but extremely inefficient given that 3 pots gives you 150 more "health" in the jungle all together. Some of you are missing the point when I said he can barely clear as in with a good leash you probably clear the whole jungle but it comes too close to death imo compared to to last season. This preseason I cant even gank top after getting red most of the time due to the changes. The buffs to the mana items should help ,but with all these nerfs coming in Im not liking the way this is looking for jungle hecarim. The health nerfs can somewhat be ignored but will definitely effect early clears as will the mana nerf given that after blue you still have to wait for some mana to regenerate between camps as you run out getting blue...

CatSith11/25/2015, 7:44:03 PM1 votes

Minor hp nerf and unit collision removed. Its not that bad of a nerf, but blame it on the top hecarim who is pretty overbearing.

Juicyman11/24/2015, 10:54:23 PM1 votes

The only reason people pick him top is because there's absolutely no reason to pick him in the jungle since, until he gets items, he's sub-par at absolutely everything.

JusKil11/24/2015, 10:57:03 PM1 votes

besides that point theres no getting around the starting items being terrible on him for early clears...
