Kayle doesn't even get a chance to make it to her strong state with how terrible her laning phase is. If you even step up to hit a minion you get pushed out so easily. Most games end before you can even get her to her power spike. Thoughts?
When i am 1/10 and then 5 minutes later i hit level 16 and then i go 11/12 and get a quadra kill, then you know that this champ has a good late game

Just played a game against a Kayle. I was jg and had her 0/4 by 20 mins. 5 minutes later she oneshots my fed adc and supp then deletes me ( I’m a fed jax btw). That’s why her early game is trash
I beg to differ, she has a pretty decent early game in top against the melee's, so long as its not renekton or rengar, you can outtrade alot of people early if you start E, killed a riven level 1 onwards and just outright dominated
looks like she has better tools in the early game than Kassadin and he somehow finds a way to survive.
Play like zilean, either farm or wait for jungler. You excel with grouping or late game.

i knew this was going to happen, lol. pre rework kayle was already low tier for the same reason, and they widened the power gap between her early and late even further.
I usually enjoy playing her support. I dont know why but it seems to work for me at least.
Play safe use your slow and heal and experiment with different runes. Minion dematerializer, free stopwatch, mana flow, taste of blood, all good farm/sustain options. You could also take her in jg. I think it shouldn't be hard to make it to 6 or 11 just being smart and opportunistic with ganks. Getting some lifesteal runes or items goes a long way too.

Seriously, don't push.
Just freeze the lane completely, let it fall into your tower, and then farm in (relative) safety there.
It's not worth it to get one more CS if it cost you 1/3rd of your health bar to do so.
