Never felt more meaningless in games than this season.

I bet less than 5% of my ranked games are actually close. Either we absolutely destroy the other team and it feels like i can try whatever i want or my team can make countless mistakes, it doesn't matter. The other team is just starkly worse. OR my team is that team getting crushed. No matter how well i play we just get crushed and my 4-0 lane that I'm eating on plus the countless attempts to snowball other lanes we still get destroyed. Mostly this is due to skill of my team, but also a single amu jg pick for the other team is enough.

I mean, of course i have bad games, and even good games for me go bad when the other team is up 12 kills at 15 minutes. I swear though i feel like I'm on autopilot every game where nothing i do matters either way.

ALSO. Back when i was in my promotionals, and probably 4 or 5 games after i decided to check out the games on lolking to see who i was playing against. Just as i thought, the sample of 10 or so games i looked at my team was consistently silver 2 or 3 with sometimes 1 person at gold. The other team was almost always gold 4 or 3 with never less than 3 gold players.

That's incredibly lopsided. Maybe that's a small sample but i can just feel when 2 or 3 people on my team lose the game for us in the first 10 minutes that something is off.

It's true though, you're absolutely right. All you have to do is take a quick look through your recent match history to see that a game is usually either stacked in your favor really hard, or is incredibly stacked against you. Rarely is a match actually balanced or fair it seems. I don't see what the point is of playing a game that is literally causing you to lose at loading screen because of piss poor matchmaking, when we live in the 21st century and supposedly have the algorithmic technology to avoid things like this. We can make the iPhone 6 but we can't have fair matchups in League of Legos. Pretty pathetic if you think about it.

It's a side effect of anti-smurf stuff Riot's been trying to implement, I think. People who are playing outside of their "league" so to speak, they try to lump them together with what your track record implies you should be able to handle. This premise, while nice, starts to fall apart when you have smurfs who manipulate their wins and losses so they can stay in the snowman leagues, though.

The problem is that LoL is a strictly team-based game. Meaning you cannot single-handedly carry the game unless you are playing against extreme noobs. It's unlike games such as CoD where if you are good you can carry games with ease. In LoL you need good team comps and good teammates.

ranked hardly seems like a skillful endeavor, it feels more like rolling the dice for the win. since you dont pick you lane.. barely pick your champ. they should show your proficiency with x champ as well..

You're going to get a bunch of shitty feedback picking apart your post and turning it mostly on you.

But you touched on a lot of problems I recognize too.

The matchmaking needs work... it's bad. It wasn't great but it's become outright bad this season.

Mostly my complaints are the matchmaking. But anyone who doesn't realize that a single bad person on your team can lose you the game hasn't played much. I'm not complaining about climbing, I'm climbing. 3 tiers in about 60 games. The process is just mindnumbing though when events are totally out of your control most of the time.
