I was plat 2 last season will it put me in plat after placements ?

I don't know. My one friend was plat 2 and got plat 1 after going 8-2. There are other friends I know that were silver 3, went 8-2 and got placed bronze 2. So, I guess it is just a random thing with rito.

From what I've heard, you likely are going to get placed either a whole tier lower than you are right now, or several divisions more or less independently or your win-lose in placements

I don't know why, but Riot wants to reset people like that this season.

On a bright note, if you get placed really low, you get MASSIVE (like MASSIVE) lp gains from wins, so if you play well, you'll climb back up in no time!

I think Riot just wanted to sift out all the people sitting in division 5 and really deserved to drop to the next tier down.

Well you probably are going to have to.

You might get Plat 5. More likely Gold 2 or so.

But if you were going on winning streaks and smashed your way to Plat 2 without much issue, your MMR is probably high for the division so you might get a nice Plat 4/5. If you had been there for awhile and your MMR stabilized, probably high Gold.

You'll get Bronze II if you're lucky
