Riot does not take Elo boosting seriously

I have identified and opened a ticket to report a blatantly elo boosted player. My guess is I will just receive a generic automated response as I did in the past. In the past I opened a ticket for the same reason and I received a response which was essentially automated to tell lies. It said something like "thanks for reporting this" "we take elo boosting very seriously at riot" "we will look into this players account" etc etc but the funny part was, they replied telling me they will look into the case when I had not even disclosed THE NAME of the person that I wished to report yet lmfao.

Clearly the people responding to tickets just dont care so Is there anywhere or anyone that I should go to , to report a case of elo boosting (actually sharing the account) ?

Also for viewers wondering about the legitimacy of my post, please add my ign "Sun is deletion" and I can disclose the name of the boostee in the game client so you can see for yourself, I believe it is against the rules to do so on this forum.

The people responding to tickets do care. They however can't share the details of any investigation they do with you. Also, players found to be ELO boosting/boosted are rarely banned right away and for good reason. Just banning an account found to be ELO boosting/boosted right away is not very effective at combating the problem.

Riot typically uses the accounts they initially find to find other accounts and even the people behind them when possible. They also typically ban such accounts together in large waves to make it much harder for the offending players to figure out how they were caught and thus devise harder to detect methods.

I get that it sucks to watch as an account you know is being operated by a cheater continues to play and ruin games, but please take solace in the fact that they will be punished when the time is right.

How do you know said person won't be punished? Hmm? If they are legit boosting they will be taken care of sooner or later. There's 60+ million players in the game so it's not easy for them to track down every last one, it does take a bit of time.

http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/player-behavior-moderation This had many many posts about people being banned for Elo Boosting in it about 2 weeks ago. So, Riot indeed does care.

I've seen a lot of players who don't even make it a secret that they are boosting, and they'll still be doing it months later. It's so rampant now that it's disgusting.

  1. This post belongs in player behavior
  2. Tickets submitted to player support will always have an automated response the first time. It will only be addressed in almost every case by a real person after a few more responses.

Didn't we just have a ban wave for this and 1000 threads about people who were "falsely" banned for getting boosted.

Ofc their responses are automated. It's because simply no one at Riot has time to go through all the player reports on people that are "elo boosting", of which usually 90% are just false accusations of people who simply just got rekt.

They have their systems and methods for this. It's not like they don't care, it's just that they can't simply ban people who might look like they are getting boosted without clear evidence. And that is more than just a winstreak.
