Ok look, I play Vayne quite a lot, 100k champ points in her and I'm kind of getting annoyed about people screaming how op she is. Let me break her kit down for you.

Passive: Night Hunter Vayne gains 30 movement speed when moving towards a nearby VISIBLE enemy champion. "Now how would you play against that? Well simple in a typical bot lane scenario if Vayne Is coming for you and you're not confident to fight her run in the bot lane bush to get to your tower." Ok serious talk time now that we got the abilities out the way, Vayne's kit is strong with a low skill floor and a high skill ceiling her kit offers lot's of outplay potential. You need to remember she is a secondary assassin, so she can beat almost any ADC in a 1 v 1 scenario. Think for a second about Vayne's basic abilities they are really not OP when she gets a BORK she hits a huge powerspike do the to they synergy with the BORK passive and her Silver Bolts, and with the lack of pure AD like infinity edge or bloodthirster is made up with her ultimate.

In a nutshell here Vayne is not OP the way the items she build works with her kit EXTREMELY well and an easy way to counter vayne is to slow her, not even hard cc (Though it is great) Vayne is almost nothing without her W. If she can't get W stacks in a quick succession with a slow on her attack speed she does almost nothing, as other ADC's can do ridiculous crits early game even with something like exhaust. All in all Vayne is a secondary assassin, most ADC's don't burst like assassins do so most ADC's cannot beat Vayne alone but in team fights Vayne has to focus one person and if the enemy team ADC has correct positioning versus Vayne it will be a really easy teamfight as long as Vayne is focused to get rid of first as she probably will do the most damage.

Vayne is overtuned in the current. Late game vayne has always and should always do what she currently does where she is an absolute monster.

the problem now is that she gets there almost guaranteed and is stronger than other adcs even outside of 1 v 1 way earlier.

I think the vayne QQ is a little overhyped, but she is certainly overtuned. and you are blind if you don't see it. I even tried her out as support and was still a threat with only two attack speed items. she just needs be easier to punish in the early game or at least delay her insane late game. All the other ADCs that are hyper scaling have either a weak early game or a weak mid game compared to other strong adcs. Twitch is terrible early but a beast late. Kog maw spikes kind of early with Trinity force/bork, but while hes building up his next few items his damage is not overbearing. Once he hits late game though its pretty much over if you cannot get to him.

Vayne just flat out, out duels any adc early and mid by default which feels rather unfair. the only ones who can beat can be outplayed by a decent vayne. Draven, Lucian, Graves, etc. A vayne can be shifty enough to make draven drop axes, Q out of lucian Q, and dodge Graves combo. She really has no weakness right now. She isn't the strongest early or mid game at all, but she has no point in the game where she is vulnerable right now which is why she is picked so often. she is safe while being a hyper carry which is a bad combination.

She beats everyone in a 1v1, not just adcs. Her self peel, huge ad steroid and true damage makes her op. And you said her w wasn't very strong, but the way to counter her is trying to reduce the amount of w procs she gets?

Shes OP because she has a 3-stacking % max health damage ability and she is supposed to prioritize attack speed over AD compared to most other ADCs. And she can 1v1 any champion in game.

Where do people get this notion of Vayne being the best duelist in the game from?

Poppy can legitimately kill Vayne with a single E>AA>Q come late game (think Vayne's late game is strong? Vayne ain't got shit on Poopy).

I once saw a Challenger stream where a Vayne got the drop on Tryndamere AND TRYND STILL KILLED HER, despite her actually having slightly more items.

Master Yi can easily duel Vayne if he Q's the Condemn.

She's definitely the best duelist among ADCs though.
