Why does Lux tend to have lowerbase health that other mages?

I played a couple of games with Luxxy my princess and I noticed that Ziggs and Karma both had 60+ more base health than me 0.0. I found that surprising since Lux has a really weak early game since her poke is so expensive and relatively easy to dodge. Whereas Ziggs who has the same damage for less mana has 60+ base health..

To be fair, having a shield is no excuse for having lower health. It's not like her W is an extra ability, it is one of her 3 base abilities, just like for everyone else. Some champions have damage abilities, she has a shield. That's no reason to lower her other stats.

It's like saying "LeBlanc's W deals damage, so she will start the game at -30 AP." It does not make any sense, and luckily it's not how things work (except maybe for Lux).

Also Karma has a shield too and yet she still has much higher base health. Also her shield has 0 cast time.

Actually this is one of the few things im fine with. The girl is made to dominate long range, but die in close quarters almost instantly. She shouldnt be tanky in the slightest. I just wish she could move while casting, and had less expensive mana costs.

  1. She has a decently powerful shield. Looking at other Mages with their kits, Lux is about as tanky if not more tanky than other Mages due to her shield.
  2. She is extremely long ranged compared to other Mages. She is just barely below the gods of spam, being Ziggs and Xerath, who I believe are slightly more tanky due to them not having any form of defensive steroid.
  3. She has decent crowd control with a slow and a root, making her decently hard to get to if played well.
  4. Her ultimate burst is incredible, I would say one of the burstiest spells in the game due to it's interaction with her passive especially. (EDIT: Her ultimate's base damage at Level 18 with her passive is 654 (+95% AP), then reapplying her passive to add another 154 (+20% AP) if she can basic attack the target. This is also in an area of effect, at up to 3350 range, and on a 50 second cool down without CDR.)

Now imagine having all that and having decent health. Poor melees like Garen, Nasus, and others would just wonder why they even existed.

Im telling you, Lux's E just needs some buffs and maybe some mana cost and cool down buffs on her Q.

Champions with spammable shields tend to have lower base stats. Lux's Armor is on the high side for a mage.

Overall, base stats do not feel very consistent.

No, her higher armor makes sense since she has that boobplate. XD

Boob plates are actually a huge liability. If you get hit in the center of the chest, the part between the boobs can fold inward and crush ribs.

IT WAS A JOKE!

The fact that it can deflects weapons directly towards your neck sounds like an even bigger issue.

For Scarma, its because she needs to contour and get close to her opponent do deal some damage.

On Ziggs, there is no excuse because Ziggs is several times safer that Lux.

Must be a leftover nerf from years ago when Lux was FotM.

The real question is: Why are you taking damage as Lux?
