A question on jungling styles.

So one of the ways I like to jungle with certain champs is to counter jungle. Deny opposing buffs which can free up blue or even red buffs for my own Mid and ADC, controlling dragon throughout the game, and pressuring every OTHER lane with split pushing, etc. This is not to say that I am absent from ganks, absent from team fights, etc but much of it depends on the opposing team composition and how the flow of the game progresses.

My point is I typically don't get many kills and sometimes I don't even do that much damage to champions. In a very recent game, I was crap talked throughout the game. After the game, I was also sh** talked because of my low damage to champion total. His argument that my damage to champions was lower than even our Braum support. I had 4 kills and 5 assists with a 30% kill participation, which is admittedly low. But the opposing Rammus had zero blue buffs throughout the game, they lost control of red buff around 20 minutes of a 36 minute game, I took every single of the six dragons throughout the game, set up and controlled each of the 2 barons, and applied split push pressure on whichever lane the enemy team was absent from.

Most of my team didn't care, but this one player was ridiculously abusive about it. The question is.....can the counter jungle split push map pressure jungler work in silver/gold mmr? It's not "meta" assassin/early gank junglers, but I like being diverse with my jungle play. This all might be a moot point with the upcoming jungle changes in Season 5.

TL;DR - Is non-meta jungling, counter/split-push acceptable play in lower MMR?

Thanks!

Honestly, if you help your team win the game why should it matter to them? It's like raging about a Nasus Afk farming top when your team is winning 4v5 teamfight's because of the pressure he is putting on turrets.

Sadly asking if the question about those play styles are viable is kinda something you will never get a straight answer to. You see its not if its viable against silver and gold its more along the lines of "is this team accustomed to dealing with your plan". Simply put, Some people can react and deal with your plan without any issue while others fall apart. Its a dice role really, The only way to truly know is to have your team help scout them out and gather info on their play styles before you make a move. Also keep in mind the champs strengths against you as well.
