Insec playing ap rengar?

id assume a more diverse damage output for the team. otherwise its just less effective than ad rengar in both clear time and single target burst.

Ap Rengo has better AoE

Great weave clear and free harras. Rengar hasn't a good trade without his 5 stacks, but with w can harras and farm.

In certain lane matchups, maxing your W first is useful for surviving the laning phase of the game. It gives an incredible capability to shove the lane very hard without any items, and it has great sustain. I think InSec just went a little ham on this idea. When I first watched him play it, he was playing it against Malzahar. I had assumed that he'd just taken some AP and magic penetration for the early match up, and he'd go into a tank / bruiser build. I was so wrong.
