Best Bursty Irelia Build

I have been playing a lot of Irelia recently, so im wondering which 2 item choices is better: Guinsoos plus iceborn guantlet/tri force, or bork plus iceborn/guantlet plus dead mans? When i first started playing Irelia, i was building bork then tri force then dead mans and i was one shotting vaynes. Now, with guinsoos and iceborn (no dead man's) i do a lot of aa damage, but still not so much burst. Did the dead man's plate really give me that much damage? or does bork passive do so much? Also, when should i get iceborn and when should i get tri force, and when could i get lich bane? Also, why do people build like hextech gunblade on hybrid champs like irelia, yi, and jax when bork is better?

The reason people go Iceborn + Guinsoo is because it is cheap and gets you a fast power spike.

In real games, gold is a constraint. Otherwise, we all know what the best bursty Irelia build is: item 3031 item 3078 item 3087 item 3074 item 3142 item 3072 .

No. You're way too squishy for the amount of autos you need to put out with that build, especially since there's so little CDR. Get rid of the Shiv/trinity and replace with iceborne and maw. Replace IE with gunblade.

ok. Ill give this a shot when i get super fed. But if I use that build, what defensive items should i add in there so i can survive forever?

Her Q can't crit, so if you want to literally burst somebody to death with it, you're better off loading up on on-hit effects, AD, and penetration.

However, if you're willing to stick on-target for a little while (not long, trust me) you're probably better off going jungle. Devourer + Wit's End + Blade of the Ruined King + Guinsoo's Rageblade = dead anybody.

BotRK is not better than gunblade. Gunblade gives absurd chasing potential, sustain, and damage to many hybrid champions when combined with Guinsoo's.

BotRK is actually pretty weak this patch. Also, build path for gunblade is a bit more accessible since cutlass was changed.

Anyway, but Trinity when snowballing. Iceborne in other cases when you have a guinsoo's. If you go BotRK, you need the trinity for more attack speed.

Easily made up for by gunblade's. The slow/damage is the important part to her, and she it either way. Gunblade's has a much shorter CD.
