Why the heCK does dodging champ select in your promos get rid of your promos? SUPER TILTED NOW!!!

I was in my promos and I needed 1 more win. I ended up dodging that queue because i had a teemo jg without smite and had ghost. Obviously this wasn't going to work out. I dodged that game and the next thing I know it said "You were removed from your promos because you had dodged a match." Not only this, I seldom dodge champ selects. I think this is a negative thing in League of legends ranked. Usually you only get like a 5 min timer. It's just another game. Dodge = a lose Playing the game gives you a chance. We can't pick our team just try your best and report after the game. That said off meta =/= trolling.

That's the Same thing.
Just play the game your supposed to be the difference between victory and defeat in your promos your going to get worse players than you. You have to carry if not you don't deserve the win and you might be hard stuck

cmon dude. strategic dodging is part of the game. i mean this is a good example. any jungler without smite currently doesnt work in this game, period.

i would even say riot should remove dodge timers on ranked games, since the lp penalty is enough of a deterrent and keeps people from dodging too many games on its own. people wont stop dodging bad teamcomps or matchups either, even if you increased the dodge timers. they would just play less.

all the dodge timers are doing is remove people from the que.

Feel free to advocate for that to Riot but until it's adopted. Dodging will be punishable (-lp) and should be discouraged. As for the jungler not taking smite I'm not sure why they don't lock it into your summoners when you choose the role

thats up to riot to change then.

but currently the game is what it is, junglers without smite are clearly a massive detriment to any team, and players react accordingly. its also the same when it comes to teamcomps that are clearly at a disadvantage to the enemy teamcomp.

"dont hate the player, hate the game" is appropriate here. for the players, it makes more sense to dodge these games and take small lp and time losses over 15 to 20 lp losses and 30 minutes wasted game time.

we dont lose entire games worth of lp, but only 3 lp on our first dodge of the day, imo because strategic dodging isnt entirely discouraged.

i think removing time penalties on ranked dodges wouldnt change how much people are dodging ranked games, but only how many people are removed from the que. overall it would probably shorten que times and times to get into games, more than it would increase those times.

someone is going to dodge like 2 games for various reasons (for example their jungler forgetting to pick smite) and is now sitting on a 15 to 20 minute dodge timer. how many people do you think will just close their client and just switch games at that point?

Because Riot wants you to play the match out no matter what,even if you end up with 4 bags of garbage on your team to carry.

Pretty sure there's a tool tip in the client that tells you dodging results in losses and being removed from your promos.

If you do not like the trolls, build a team, then it will never happen. If you want to solo, then that is the reality of what you have to deal with. It is about as consistent as playing ARAM.

its it really a display of your skills if you just play the easy matches? i know its competitive and i know everyone wants to win. Sometimes its just time to push through it.

(Not one of these people) think about the people on the 15-20 wait timer before they can queue up. when you dodge you reset their wait time.

I have had dodges on my team then the re-queue i get my champion banned.

it is a loss. think of it as a solo surrender. you admitted you couldnt or wouldnt win that match so you just walked away. sounds like a surrender to me.
