Can We Rework BF Sword buildpath?

Frustrating when you can't afford to build the item because your support decides to go in and die, giving the enemy marksman a tremendous lead over me unless I give in and buy two longswords, in which case doesn't give me a lot of options unless I intended to go the lethality or route. If I recall once upon a time BF swords did build out of long swords in the past; can't remember which season. But it offered a decent cushion to fall back on if you're playing a crit-reliant carry.
