"Im just going to start with im super puzzled by this talk about a rework. In the past i used to hate yasuo. Back when fm/tank yasuo was at its strongest that was actually completely horrible to vs. And after that got nerfed it was a lot better but i hated how oppressive his lane phase was. Mostly in midlane for skillshot based champs. But at that point it was frustrating to vs but i never was scared enough to ban him unless someone else on my team would have to vs him (down here in low elo they always feed yasuos). But personally i knew how to play around him and if he wasnt ahead by midgame and lategame then it was a fair fight based on skill and teamwork. I still hated him though. BUT. After the q changes i now like him. He finally feels fair to vs. Tornados are no longer such a massive zoning tool when ahead and you cant go gank from scuttle with tornado as easily. Before q was oppressive and after the changes i thought wow yasuo is finally balanced for a slayer neat. And then being the type of person i am, i started playing him and now really enjoy him. I play so much better on him than before maybe because i actually use my brain and i dont feel im playing a faceroll champ. Im playing a strong champ that is under fiora in battle strength and can be played around. Balanced. So i was happy to let myself become a yasuo main but now i see all this talk. Why are you all sacrificing your beloved main so easily to all these low elo whiners who dont want to try and get better and instead want to drag yasuo down staywise so they can brute force beat him down in a fight with their darius or fiora pick. Yasuo is a slayer. Atm he scales incredibly well and that is great. His weak early game can be made strong with skill to cover up early weaknesses and i think thats what ppl hate. If you are good with yasuo. 1v1 you dont have a weak point. But you arent op. His only skill i would let them change if i had to is lessen the duration of wind wall by a second maybe 1.5 or make duration scale with level. That is probably his strongest skill. As someone who plays mf a lot having my entire ult blocked is a tilter but i say wp in my head. The only thing i dislike is how it can block all my ult and then a few autos. Slightyl overkill after my strongest damage got blocked. Any other changes you guys are condoning is giving way to ppl who dont want to improve themselves. Dont let then make yasuo clunkier, weaker scaling/statwise. His q nerf was the best thing that happened and should have happened long ago before thjs hatred of him grew to irrational levels. I blame riot. Also how ppl can be so blind as to call for yasuo nerfs as riven slowly creeps her way up to the op lvl she had before idk. The deaths dance change made her scale as hard sometimes even harder than yasuo. Just sayin. Wake up sheeple :P"

Truth is, statistacally, Yasuo is not a very strong champ. 2nd or 1st in deaths, barely a 50% win rate, pretty much never seen in LCS. He is a low ELO stomper, and that's about it. His ban rate drops.drastically as you go up on ELO or go to other servers than NA.

Yasuo NEEDS some work, so that he can be a viable champ. He's awesome in concept, and fun as all get out to play. But a large amount of players find him annoying, and he is weak compared to other similar champions.

Riot has pretty much already stated they don't want to change up his play style, So I'm going to patiently wait and see what happens.

TL;DR: Yasuo used to be far worse when tank builds were more freely enabled. They've recently hit him with nerfs and they've made him a lot less angry. In general, OP's OP quote states that Yasuo doesn't need nerfs or reworks and is balanced now compared to where he used to be.

Fair enough, Yasuo's balanced. I won't fight that and I don't, usually. I didn't before either honestly, I thought it was good players who made him nasty; but I digress.

When you sit down, engage players, talk them through it and help them see it objectively, most of them agree: the tilt isn't balance, it's the sheer amount of what he can do. And generalists (Lee Sin comes to mind) have always been hot picks and will always.

Riot desperately wants him not to be the hottest ban of all time, but they also designed him with inherently gawky and awful-to-balance mechanics. Being literally the only champion with 'double stat' as a mechanic, he kind of has to be built around it almost entirely; and as a melee, that means he needs to be able to have that opportunity, even if he can't close it, to get up and melee the ranged guys.

Yasuo is in a lot of places. His issue is a bit more complex than banning or not banning, nerfing or not nerfing.

It isn't about his balance state; it's about the state of balancing him.
