Cho'Gath is a little too strong in too many ways

Revenix·8/26/2015, 11:58:00 PM·3 votes·1,019 views
  • Insane tankyness with rod+ult stacks
  • Insane range (and auto range!) and cc
  • Insane sustain with passive
  • Insane burst and execute with ult
  • Longest silence in the game (Not confirmed on that one but it is quite long and is guaranteed to hit if he hits the initial q

Im fine with a champion having a little bit of everything, but cho has a little too much of everything, leaving alot of midlaners helpless. Some proposed changes (Feel free to comment)

  • Make his q and w damage a LOT lower, so he cant nuke your backline carries while also stopping your front line
  • Only allow his ult to be cast on non players or greatly reduce the damage it does to players
  • Change his passive so that he cant w a wave and heal himself to full
  • Dont reduce the cooldown when he eats a minion so he really has to make a choice whether or not he wants to save it.

Anyways guys just a few of my thoughts because I have been playing a lot of mid lane and I find that cho gath is a little bit overtuned compared to most other mids, so feel free to comment and thanks for reading.

"I don't like Cho'gath, rito please butcher him."

Bully Cho'gath early game to take advantage of his beginning low damage, low CC durations, low passive healing, and easily avoided damage. Seriously, if you just watch for when he Q's and then all in him pre six it's pretty easy to kill him / zone him EXTREMELY hard at most stages of the game.

Even if he gets to late game and is super big you just need to bait out his skills. They have large cooldowns and Q is very avoidable. He's also durable due to ROA + ulti stacks for but, if building mage (which is the only time he's extremely dangerous), a massive immobile target which will die in about 4 seconds if he misses his Q.

Or... Just reduce the silence on his W.

The problem with Cho isn't any of his individual abilities, his passive, or his ult. The problem is that they are all on the same champion.

He's incredibly oppressive if he's ahead, you get hit by a silence? lose 30% HP, get hit by knock up? dead, try to poke him? he sustains it all up.

Second longest silence. Malzahar has the longest at 3 whole seconds
