When to quit when youre ahead?

Sometimes especially when I'm having an unusual winning streak I have a feeling this 5 win streak is going to turn into 2 demotions or anything worst. Is there such thing to take a break after a big winning streak or keep going until you lose like one or two games?

When I'm on a winning streak I keep playing until I lose. Then I just keep playing.

Some people (as they should) play ranked until they've lost 2-3 games in a row and feel like they're tilting. I've taken a break after a big wining streak because I'm pleased with my progress and got my fill of "must climb the ladder"
