Only one person on your team can have smite. No more other lanes using jungles items to cheese. Keeps the lanes being what they should be. That being said, it would be nice for other ways to allow players to have more diverse builds and summoner spells.
Bruh Lets restrict customization but lets not do that

Hey genius, smite buffs can work in other lanes/roles. Get your melon head out of the meta-toilet for a minute and think about the possibilities....

OHKAY! Points taken. But some of the new items are and have been abused, and basically make other items that fill similar roles obsolete. I just feel like items attached to summer spells is in a bit of a weird state. Why one smite? mainly it was to help jungle diversity, but now sees as much action in top lane. Would be nice it all items did not have any summoner spell restrictions. Get ride of the all the double items and add certain passives to the summoner spells you choose. For example Smite would give you the scaling gold and hp/mp regen when killing jungle mobs instead of having that passive on cinder hulk excreta.
IMO smite is smite, not jungle spell. Ofc most of the time it's used at jungle position cuz it work best there. BUT, if some1 prefer to pick smite over flash/ignite/tp, then why he shouldn't. Even you talk about it ,,allow players to have more diverse builds and summoner spells". This is it, no more flash+tp on top.
