How to jg in bronze

So I see a lot of posts talking about junglers/how to jungle, and it does help. Let's be honest though, some of us are just bronze level and will never be able to do everything to make us a great jungler. So here is my small list of how to be a decent jungler in bronze in no particular order.

  1. Ward: I'm always buying wards when I jg. I always get at least 1 scuttle crab my first clear. On my first back I try to get my jg item, a potion, and a ward. I also try to get at least one ward each back, and upgrade my trinket at level 9. I try to focus my wards around dragon and the lanes the enemy jg frequents the most.
  2. Know your match up: Know who the jg match up favors. If it favors you invade, if it doesn't ward defensively. If I'm the stronger jg I will ward up their jungle and constantly pester them.
  3. Pay attention to your lanes: is your top laner toxic? If so don't spend to much time helping him, because the majority of the time it will only hurt you. If one of your lanes is doing really well then help them a lot. Snowball the lane and you have a solid chance iof winning. This is unless they ask you to leave, then go help other lanes.

I know this list isn't perfect, but if you do these three things in bronze it will definitely help.

The warding is definitely a plus and I always give kudos to junglers who help me out with warding, especially since I can't wander too far into fog of war without losing creeps and risking the enemy laner pushing into my tower. Whenever I jungle, if the enemy jungler is one that usually needs to AFK farm for a bit and can't constantly gank without ult (cough warwick) I like to ward their blue/red buffs or have my support accompany me and ward along the way (this is really a good strat, since supports purchase most of the wards but don't have much protection when roaming so this prevents them from getting caught out.) Also, a lot of the time, I see a lot of bronze junglers go for a gank but ends up failing it, either the enemy flashes or plays super passive, and they STILL try to continue the gank. This isn't usually a good idea since most of the junglers just shimmy around in lane and get in the way of the laner's farming. (Specifically whenever I'm mid, my jungler will fail a gank and for some reason, still try to approach the enemy who's already backing to tower. This is so hard for me to follow up on, especially since the wave is most often pushed closer to my side so they enemy will overextend.) If you fail a gank, just go roam elsewhere and come back at a later time so you don't waste your time sitting in a bush.
