Reinventing Silence
Just thought of this now, mostly in regards to my thinking of a mana draining champion (feel free to look it up and discuss it on the skins & champion concepts section, I'd love to hear ya'lls thoughts).
As I seem to recall, Silence in League pretty much meant you couldn't use 1) Abilities, 2) S. Spells, and 3) Items. I can see why Riot came down hard on it, especially as it was on assassin champs.
With pretty much every other champion in this game having some form of CC, and a bulk of those with stuns, snares, or roots, I think Silence needs to make a come back into the League, but with a major adjustment.
To be effective and not completely broken, I think Silence should only affect abilities. An opponent should still have the ability to activate items and use S. Spells (if they have them). This way, let's say that Talon had his silence back. He could still pop in and stop the enemy from using abilities, but they could have a better chance of either getting away or activating an item to help them survive the fight or use the item to run away. Now, there are a lot of items and scenarios to consider, and I'm honestly not asking for Talon's silence to be restored lol. I just think that, while I'm playing the League of Crowd Control Legends, it would be nice to shut them up without stopping all of their options as a player.
What do ya'll think, would changing Silence to only affect abilities be a viable option? Or is it simply too OP, even though every champ and their mum has a snare to stop you from moving so you can explode in 2 seconds.
