When people get mad at you for being nice

I was assigned support and my teammate the person who was assigned bot didnt want to adc, they didnt feel comfortable playing ad, and asked for someone to swap them. So i gave up my support role so they could support. Throughout the game my team was overwhelmingly toxic towards me for not being a good ad, I couldnt do much as they enemy team was hugely ahead, particuarly their ahri and lee. My team reported me for playing poorly, but how does some play at all with 3 people spamming pings on you and being nothing but toxic in chat. Basically should you give up your role to help your team or not?

I just give the role if I'm in the mood to play it, but I tell my team that's not my main role and I'll probably feed, so they know beforehand. Lol.

If it's a ranked game... Depends. If I don't do it, I'll try to give my best to help the non-comfortable dude, and the others.
