State of Kindred - Better! They're Almost There!

Hey guys!

So its been a while since the last update and I have to say that Kindred is as fun as they've ever been. While I do miss the high risk/reward playstyle having a built in heal and short range skirmishing style, the new Kindred feels pretty good!

Kindred is no longer the worst jungler - Around the world Kindred has climbed from dead rock bottom to 19th place with a 49-50% winrate. Not high enough to be in the meta, but definitely pretty healthy!

Dropping the hunt requirement above really has helped in mid and late game damage and hunts for most players appear to average 12-15 in normal match-ups!

Kindred is having an interesting and pretty unique effect in the current jungle game. Enemy teams are actually leaving their lanes quite a lot more often to hunt Kindred in the jungle, giving Kindred's teammates more free farm without ever having to gank! For The Eternal hunters however, this poses a bit of a problem. While most Junglers would have a good time taking some CS (which in a free farm situation is actually a genuine no-no, that's supposed to go to their teammates!), Kindred is dependent on their mark system, whether hunting enemy champions or jungle farm.

Kindred's still having issues however in matches where the enemy team is actually coordinating attacks against this champion while in the jungle, and with the new jungler coming out with an unprecedented mobility capability, it is going to get worse/more difficult.

In low ELO (where the majority of League Summoners play) where teamplay is fairly non-existent, its still pretty easy to bully a lone Kindred however capable they might be, and you may as well have picked another champion.

I'm at a bit of a loss on this one - either a small boost in early game attack speed or more passively, a bit more starting health to reflect their jungler status would be a helpful solution, but may snowball too hard.

An increased capability for Kindred-only vision (not shared with their team) or a very small defensive cc capacity could help in these situations.

Hunter's Sight: Marked Jungle Camps give Kindred vision on the Jungle Monster (not shared with their team)

Alone in the Jungle: Wolf's E applies a .5 second fear to lone enemy champions in the jungle. <- Note: Not sure about this iteration. While intentionally intended to be a subtle effect, just a small enough window to let Kindred react, it does little to nothing against paired or grouped invasions.

Overall though, good job!

I do like the idea that Kindred's E gives her a mini CC when someone tries to jump her. Given that it's pretty shit to try and use the character to duel champions early, It might be a nudge in the right direction.

unprecedented movement capability......... He has something like a 100 unit dash. and he can walk through walls.... but doesnt actually make him move faster (Unless shadow assassin)

Riven has 3 approx 100 unit dashes and an E dash which is much more.

Rek Sai has a huge dash that can go over walls to extend the range.

Sorry but his movement isnt going to be crazy.

Better yet... improve her Q and W a bit more, as those are practically her bread and butter in her kit.

The Q in the early game is horrible if you can not get to a thin wall before the enemy flattens your ass. Because before the great Kindred nerfs, Q and W were her primary dueling tools in the early game. Before Q only had a 2 second cool down at all levels if you were inside Wolf's Territory. Now it drops to 4 and drops down by half a second per level.

And Wolf's Frenzy doesn't do a lot of damage still. Nor is the duration really that long to fully take advantage of her Q. I personally suggest increasing the base damage and duration of the territory per rank. And bring back the static 2 second cool down at level 1 while slightly dropping the damage of the Q. That way it's a constant threat to players and something they need to respect at all times. As in don't expect to be healthy still when you run into Kindred's safe zone to try and kill Lamb.

I feel like Wolf needs more to do. It's usually Lamb and her funny dog sidekick who occasionally bites someone.
