Gangplank reworks? ;-/ (Pretty sure this is the right forum now -- sorry Riot!)

Hey there, Master Fl --

Riot if you kill my main, I will be legitimately depressed for a week. Does anyone know how these reworks on Shaco and Gangplank are going to go down? I love him just as he is, so I am VERY nervous about the coming change ... give him a visual update, give him new icons, give him a new splash -- but PLEASE don't change his kit TOO much. His Q and W are probably the most critical aspects of him, and his ult as well, especially if it's AP. His E is fun and nets you 10-20 assists easy, but I could live without that and his passive.

Don't kill my Pirate. He already has struggled with scurvy, chronic beard and red-head inferiority complex.

Prepare the 12 cannons salute just in case,

I main GP but lately I've stopped playing him, mainly because of the voices of his incoming rework. The new horde of tanks just makes his hard life harder and, after countless games, I've started to find him quite underwhelming in terms of gameplay. Newer champions are so full of fancy interactions, plays potential and swag, whereas he requires next to no skill (although he needs a very good knowledge of the game).

I hope the rework gives him a more straightforward identity, crippling his versatility in exchange for... viability. I prefer less options, if with that comes strength for him. If he's a carry, he needs actual mobility and serious damage steroids. If he's a tank (hope not :S), he needs strong peeling/zoning potential, hard CC and stuff, not 20% slows :| If he's a fighter, he needs a little bit of both aspects, possibly not in an overnerfed state.

They flat out said his passive is going to go. Also said he's getting two new abilites that aren't his ultimate or his oranges. If I had to wager a guess, they're giving him a new passive and E, and heavily reworking his parrrley (probz going to be a skillshot). As long as they don't gut his W or his ultimate, I'll be ok with the changes if it means that GP will be allowed to be viable again.

Right now GP is a weird ball of stats that's ALSO reliant on crit. Two things that alone would be bad design already. Also the ultimate is kinda weird too...

But they should keep is oranges somehow. The rest... meh whatever ^^

Well, not really, you can build GP a ton of different ways. My go to build is Tankplank with item 3047 item 3065 item 3025 item 3074 item 3068 and another item depending on the team comp. Also, his ultiamte is really good cuz global pressure.
