ok found out that Ashe's q is NOT supposed to trigger lifesteal

http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/On-hit_effect states that her q is not an on hit effect, and lifesteal is an on hit effect( http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Life_steal ), which is why her q allows her to ignore thornmail ( http://boards.euw.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/suggestions-bug-reports-en/FdoVuGQA-bug-ashe-does-not-take-thornmail-damage-during-q-duration ), only the first arrow triggers thornmail and lifesteal.

From the article you linked:

Basic attacks, abilities that apply on-hit effects, and abilities that modify basic attacks all benefit from lifesteal.

her Q procs lifesteal on every hit of each auto, you can check it yourself in a practice game and see your health ratcheting upwards.

if i am playing aschogath with 6606 hp and over 400armor. a ashe with item 3006 item 3031 item 3036 item 3046 item 3072 item 3087 shoudnt be able to kill a cho with item 3065 item 3075 item 3512 item 3143 item 3742 item 3068 . her q makes thornmail comepllty useless vs her. thornmail doesnet work neither should lifesteal. i was down to 600 hp after killing her with those items. and i had to q w r her with a few basic attacks. now if she had item 3153 i would see teh damage. but she did not.

also, case in point. it is not a normal attack to begin with, why should it lifesteal as one

it is not supposed to. it is an ability that consists of 5 "attacks" only first one procs "on hits" and lifesteal is an "onhit". that is why it doesnet work with any spells that arent classified as onhits/proc onhits
