HOW RIOT CAN FIX RANKED

I know people who absolutely despise the Ranked system in League of Legends, and usually I'm not one of those people. But now that Champion Mastery is here, I think I've come up with a way to "fix" ranked.

  • People Who Throw - It's well understood that the winners of a match should receive LP, and the losers should lose LP. But, if you lose because of a troll/feeder/AFK on your team, then you should lose less LP. If someone gets reported enough for doing any of those 3, they should lose 100% more LP, and 25% of that LP should be distributed amongst the victim's team. This way, you get a bit of a cushion for losing a game for stupid reasons.

  • Carrying/Getting Carried - If you genuinely do better than your team, then it's obvious that you should receive more LP than them. Also, if you get carried, you should probably get less LP than the rest of your team. If you carry, you should get 20% more LP. If you get carried, you should gain 20% less LP. This can be told by -

    • Your build (tank/marksman/etc)
    • What you did with your build (KDA)
    • How many objectives you contributed to
    • Your score in Champion Mastery
    • EDIT : Kill contribution
  • True Statistics - If more of the things you do in-game are tracked, you'd probably be better placed. Some of the things that should be tracked are -

  • Dragons/Barons stolen
  • Saving other teammates lives
  • Wards cleared
  • Times roamed

I think that if all of these things are looked at, the Ranked system would be heavily improved. Please leave feedback, and get some Reds over here. Thanks!

P.S. EKKO IS OP Amumu item 3070

EDIT : This is the game I played. http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/1833391855/44296999?tab=overview

KDA is a terrible way to tell how you played if you are a tank its a good thing if you have the most deaths on the team as long as the damage you are soaking isn't pointless damage taken AKA getting caught there is no system that can detect this

2 how are you going to tell when you save a teammates lives riot does not have the staff or technology to determine this champions like soraka can just ult and "Save" a life even if the ult really didn't help

You build is always situational even on an ADC if you are dieing instantly you may choose to go 3 offensive items and 2 defensive items + boots i've seen plenty of games where in order to survive X ability i needed resistances and health so typically i'd go warmogs/Frozen Mallet and GA

The system you are thinking of would highly favor some champions over others removing diversity in the game which is already hard to make diverse

This system would also ruin any experimental builds and don't say normal because everyone knows normal is so much more troll than any ranked game and you cannot truly test out a build in noramls at least i haven't been able to. With this kind of system stuff like proxy singed, kennen support, AD fizz, Karthus jungle, Liss top and so many more probably wouldn't be an idea

Rewarding good behavior is something that is ok but in a video game sense it isn't because the good behavior is actually expected behavior. Imagine how many variables would need to be put in to implement such a system.

TL;DR 1.KDA is a not a good way to determine if someone is feeding/trolling people have bad games it happens to everyone 2.Your system is too hard to implement too many variables and people would find ways to manipulate it. 3.Sadly Champion mastery is a huge flop that i feel isn't going to go anywhere getting level 5 is so easy and can be done with like 10 decent played games of a champion and no one masters a champion in 10 games 4.There are many situational build paths and diverse play styles high risk champions would be played less because as long as your score and build look good who cares right? If you take the time to think in detail of the system you are thinking of you will find many loopholes and problems that aren't worth putting in because it's a video game and there has to be a winning team and a losing team and typically if you lose someone is going to get angry and point fingers because of X and Y
