In most other sporting fantasy leagues, the person who started the league and is considered the "owner" of it also has more control over what goes on inside it. My main point being aimed at trades. In most other fantasy leagues, the owner has to confirm a confirmed trade. This prevents people from "win trading" essentially. It prevents people from being like hey I'm done, take all my good players, or other scenarios where it is obvious that is isn't a fair trade and people are trying to skew the results. This has happened 2 splits in a row. Some guys never shows up to draft. Gets the best possible player by the algorithm, then midway through the split he shows up. Someone ends up getting all of his good players and it makes the rest of the split unfair to the other 6 people. Just 1 extra step to help prevent cheating. Thx

How do you stop the owner from actively denying all legitimate trades between his opponents? Or even owners that themselves go MIA during the split?

That sounds like the solution to your problem.
