Spring 2017 - Stats-based Projections - Weeks 4-5

Hi,

If you've been a regular to these boards for the last couple of splits, you may remember that I produced stats and projections on a weekly basis to help you try and decide who to trade/start from week to week.

I've changed my format, so hopefully this works well for all of you that are interested and try to use these projections. This split I've put just the raw numbers (which are generated from calculations on my own spreadsheets) into a Google Sheet.

You will find 3 tabs.

  • LCS Stats, which gives you an overview of which teams have the highest average deaths & kills per game.
  • Best_Format_Projections, which gives you a list of players, grouped into roles, sorted by highest projected points for this week for the 'Best Game' format.
  • First_2_Format_Projections, which gives you a list of players, grouped into roles, sorted by highest projected points for this week for the 'First 2' format.

I've also includes projected points for week 5 as well (along with a total value for Week 4-5), so that you have an idea about whether your picks are safe to keep beyond just this week. I have projections all the way to the end of the split (which change with each new week of collected data), but I feel like 2/3 weeks is enough to be able to plan and manage your roster (given the EU schedule).

That solitary vote for 1 was my vote. I didn't want to inflate any of the polls, so I chose the least likely. I just couldn't see any obvious way of viewing the results without being forced to vote.

Quick clarification please (and random question),

The projected numbers under "WEEK 4-6" are how many points you think they'll earn accumulatively over the next few weeks?

And is that why (for example) Zven is #1 adc on your list with 166, but stixxay is under him with 261. Just because after week 4 Zven will go back to one series a week?

Now random, Whats your opinion of Echo fox, especially for the coming weeks? Akkadian has pleasantly surprised me in performance and Gate's camille sup was ridiculous. But are they gonna be able to move into playoffs or score high in fantasy?

Also quick opinion on UOL if you could, I'm a long time fan since Vardags/POE/Kikis were on the squad, You think this is a year to place high, maybe worlds finally, could this line up handle that? (especially with teams like Origen and FNC taking a backseat this split)
