Stats-based Projections - Week 7

Although not as chaotic as Week 5, Week 6 did still have its fair share of unlikely results. In general, the strong teams remained strong, but the mid-bottom tier teams continue to have power struggles.

If you want, you can go back and look at how the Week 6 projections compared to the actual results in my previous discussion (which has been updated with comparison images).

FNC are back on form. S04 and SPY started the week on an even footing, but S04 had a very disappointing week, and SPY had a great week! UOL capitalised off a struggling OG. GIA continue to show that they're no longer the whipping boys of the EU scene. ROC are the whipping boys of the EU scene.

IMT overtook TSM as top dogs for Average Kills Per Game for the split. NV and TL managed to find the scrappier side of IMT. But NV has now claimed top spot for most Deaths Per Game for the split in NA. CLG benefited from a couple of softer matches, although seemed to struggle against P1. And C9 continue their dip in performance, though show slight improvement on Week 5.

Here are my projections for Week 7. For player projections, players with red names have been substituted at some point, and had their Kill Participation extrapolated from the weeks where they played every game. There are some players that have been omitted because they have never played an entire week, so I don't have reliable data to extrapolate a Kill Participation for them, and thus can't calculate a projection for them.

As ever, if you find this information useful for helping you forming your own decisions on who to trade/start next week, I appreciate your upvotes. But remember, it's not a magical future telling prophecy. Rather a general touchy-squeezy feel for who might do well.

Hey man, looks like you're stepping in for Nural for the foreseeable future, huh?

Roster

I dropped Steve for SmittyJ, hopefully that pans out. Dropping Gamsu for Kikis was a no brainer though

Matchup

I'm scared fam

Team giants is my biggest "if" (along with Maxlore over Trashy, having dropped Xmithie for Max)

I'm also unsure about starting Ninja over Kobbe. On one hand, G2 and GIA is a scary week, even for a surging Splyce. On the other hand, NV has not been very kind to fantasy owners as of late.

Apologies for the slight delay in my update with results (and Week 8 projections). I've been in meetings all day at work. So I had do, you know, work.

Here are the comparisons for how the player position projections for week 7 compared against the actual results.
