Gaben,the Dark Paladin

His mind was full of lust for blood. He enjoyed seeing it, sometimes he would pursue it when he had the chance.No one could have stopped him. He was feared by many of the civilians and military alike. Some say looking in his eyes, you see joy and excitement in them. He himself sometimes forgot he was even human.

When he was young, He saw a portal and met a strange creature that came out of it in the forest. It was large and had dark purple eyes. It bit him and turned his left arm into a darkened red color. One day Gaben suddenly had the urge to kill and killed his parents. Afraid it was going to happen again, he felt repent and ran to Ionia to redeem himself. There he met Karma and Shen, who both have helped him control his urges and his new found power.

He left Ionia to Demacia to support the fight against Noxus. There he fought in many battles and was promoted to a Demacian Commander. He continued to serve his duty under Jarvan IV until the day came. After the war, he fell in love with a Ionian Messenger, Clair. They made a vow to be together even in tough times, they even had two children.

Years later a war between Ionia and Noxus started. Gaben tried to help support Ionia. He sent small garrisons,food provisions, and medical supplies but , it wasn't enough to keep Ionia from losing. Gaben instead volunteered to fight alongside with the Ionians.He sent both his children away with a memento, one to a Freljiord Avorosan camp with a short katana called "Hatwel" and the other to an Ionian Daycare with an instrument his wife liked to call 'Etwahl', where both places were safe.

On a dark,night sky, Gaben, Clair and a squad were sent to send a message to a medical camp where Shen,Akali,and Kennen were at. While walking through the woods they were ambushed and men were quickly being killed, left and right. With only Gaben and CLair left, they both fled to a nearby empty temple. They both fought waves of Noxians until there was one wave left.

The last wave had one person, Talon.Swiftly, they crossed blades against each other scraping each other bit by bit. While fighting, Talon hit a wall behind him and dodged Gaben's blade. Determined to finish what he came for, he throw multiple blades around him and disappeared only to reappear behind Clair. As Gaben saw the blades go through her and plunge to the ground he felt rage overcome him. His eyes turned black with red pupils and his body began to move on it's own, his urge was coming back. Seeing this, Talon fled already achieving what he wanted.

After the war, Gaben was left in pieces. Realizing what he had become again, he left Ionia, quit as a demacian commander and traveled to the center of Runeterra, there he trained in peace and became a Rune Guardian with a sole purpose to prevent further wars in Runeterra. He now seeks to stop Runeterra's destruction and hopes to meet up with the rest at the Institute of war.

General Concept

Gaben is a melee AD sustain champion who specializes in taking down high priority targets while taking down tanks. He excels in using his opponents maximum health and his own against them. He is naturally hard to kill in late game and brings in utility in team fights. He also excels in chasing down opponents and forcing them out of positions.

Top Lane

He excels fighting against high health and high attack damage champions with his passive at level 1 up to level 4. Fighting against high attack damage like Riven give Gaben more attack damage and sustain potential. He can utillize ganks with all 3 of his abilities able to crowd control or close the gap between you and your enemy.

Jungle

In the jungle, Gaben's good natural sustain and even better when low on health. He does naturally well with his Q or W ability in jungle since they both reset his attack timer and increase damage against monsters making him pretty fast in jungle. For ganking, his Q and W ability provide crowd control while his E ability can be used to close the gap and/or used as a finisher.

Gaben gains 1/13/25 Attack Damage plus 1.5/2/2.5 Attack Damage per 100 based on the last enemy champion's maximum health hit.This lasts for 8 seconds and does not refresh when you switch targets.

Purge

Gaben has 50/35/15% reduced healing effects from all his abilities when his health is above 30%. Gaben has 5/10/15% increased healing from all his abilities when his health is at 30% or lower.

Q Ability

Shamble

Gaben swings his blade and swings his left arm(which also turns into a blade)at single target dealing physical damage based on the targets maximum health. If this ability kills the target he heals a portion of health.This ability has a short cool down so using this ability multiple times in quick succession increases damage and health costs up to 5X. The target hit is also slowed for 2 seconds and cannot be slowed again for 4 seconds.(Damage is increased by 25% against minions and monsters)

W Ability

Berzerking Rage

Gaben goes into an unstable rage for X seconds which increases his movement speed, attack speed, and basic attacks deal bonus physical damage and heal a percentage of the damage at the cost of a large amount of health and increased damage taken. The first basic attack on his attack on a target knocks them up. Additionally Gaben loses the health reduction from his passive and gains increased healing in all his abilities except his W(Bonus Damage increased by 10% against minions and monsters)

Crimson Burst

Gaben fuses and compresses his blood into a long sword for one second then dashes and thrusts it forward at the same time dealing physical damage. Clicking the E ability again causes the sword to explode dealing physical and magic damage to enemies caught in the explosion. He heals for a portion of the damage dealt.

Blood Hound Charge

Gaben Compresses blood of how much he,allies, and his enemies health lost into a large pool for three seconds that turns into a hound and leaps to a target area with Gaben dealing physical damage and stun enemies in the location and explodes one second later dealing an AOE magic damage at the location. Gaben heals a percentage of health based on the damage.

Gaben shoves his sword into the ground, and leans on one leg then compresses his blood into a microphone. He crosses both his arms and talks into it. He then throws it away, picks up his sword and get back in position.

"The only time I enjoy blood is when it's from a yordle"

Gaben swings his sword left and right. He then makes a stance and puts his left foot back further lower his head and turn his sword into an even larger sword with his left arm.

"Today is the day you fear blood"

"You can't call yourself a champion if you can't kill a guy who spills blood daily"

Gaben crouches on the ground with one knee and fills the area around him with blood and hardening it until it turns solid then it breaks open and Gaben jumps out of the screen.

Gaben Falls on to one knee,grabs his chests. As he nearly falls to the ground, he throws his weapon to the air and uses all his might to jump back and flee.All there is left is the sword that he threw.

Playing as Gaben

• Allow your passive proc by attacking an enemy champion with the highest amount of health before you attack high priority targets so that your next 6 seconds are at your strongest.

• Your W ability is your sticking and escape tool. If by any chance you don't have it use your E-Q Combo for massive damage to scare off your oppenent and heal some health back

• It's better to initiate with your Q than your W for its range and poke.

• When in a teamfight, when using your W ability don't be afraid to choose to go for the tank then high priority target or knock everyone up.

Playing against Gaben

• Having Soft CC won't stop him. Have a champion with hard CC to stop him from doing anything.

• Having a tank is not bad but its good if the tank can help out and bring Gaben down such as or

• Gaben's main source of damage will be his W, when he uses it wait for the duration to end and strike back, limiting his full damage potential.

Playing With Gaben

• Although Gaben is a strong initiator, he's not a tank. Keep that in mind when a teamfight is about to start.

• Communication is the key on whether he should focus the high priority target or CC all the enemy champions

• His health is punished really hard when CC'd, help him when it happens.

• If Gaben is jungling and starts with his W ability and uses it before Blue or Red buff are up, beware his chance of dying goes up and down at an unstable rate when the enemy comes to invade.

Gaben's enemy in his lore was originally Riven but Yasuo came out with ties around her so it was changed to Talon.

Gaben dislikes Garen because Garen acts like a man no worries and that everything is about him.

When Gaben was still a Demacian, he served under Jarvan IV and was his friend since at the age of 15

Gaben met Nocturne the day after Clair died but did not fear him because him was too drpressed to even notice him.
