The only real issue is that the Stories get lost in with pics and stuff.
There is no reason to not have a fanfiction section...
But if you are looking for League stories, ff.net & AO3 is there for you.
To go on with what Ark Angel was saying, there really isn't as high a demand of stories and fan fiction anymore since a lot of the old writers of fanfiction were lost during the board change and we didn't know where to post anymore. There really isn't enough through traffic in here to really increase the amount of stories being produced, and even then, where is the attention going to come from? Stories get lost and forgotten as opposed to the old forums where threads from long ago could sprout up again and again just through the comment of one single person.
That aside, I do have some stories that I am working or planning on working on, but I'm tied down with a couple of my other projects to really spare the time. If anything, it has to start with you OP. If you manage to upvote all of the incoming stories, then yes, there will be a resurgence, but otherwise there won't be any change happening.
I wrote a little fan fiction :3 In verse, about Poppy. It got 15 views, but two of those were me.
Let's face it, nobody likes to read stories anymore. If there was some magical way us writers could transpose our writing abilities into picture-drawing, we'd be back in business.
