Ian, The Mercenary

Hello guys/girls. I thought of this character while I was at work on the job. He's a heavy AD Guan Dao user (Though orginally is was Halberd) with AOE(ish) melee power and great push potential. I came up with all the moves myself and I'm very proud of him so far. My goal was to make a nice bursty Melee champ who isn't reliant on attack speed, and is more focused on AD casting rather than basic attacks, but still an up in your face type of guy. With that being said, his Ability ratio's are a little high, but not outrageous. The numbers are comparable to your average League of Legends assassin, but I think he should be classified as a fighter because of his durability. PLEASE UP VOTE IF YOU ENJOYED THIS CONCEPT

Character Description:

The picture in the attachments is a clear view of how Ian roughly would look and his weapon. Ian is about the same size as "Udyr or Draven" but wears a long headband.

Health: 560.8/ +85 per level Health Regen: 4.34/ +0.8 per level Energy: 200 Energy Regen: 50 Attack Damage: 56.25/ +3.75 per level Attack Speed: 0.687/ 2.25% per level Armor: 25.212/ +3.4 per level Magic Resist: 32.1/ 1.25 per level Range: 150 Movement Speed: 345 Weapon: Guan Dao Chinese Sword

Abilities Passive: Ian's Will Ian takes 10/20/30/40% (Levels with Ult) Of the Gold Value from enemy champion kills or assist and stores it for bonuses on abilities. Ian only uses the Maximum bonus from this effect and multiple kills do not stack. The passives damage is lost after Ian dies or uses his Ult. Example: If Ian's Will is gaining 40% Bonus at the time and has "Shutdown" an enemy 3 times (500g per shutdown); Then his Bonus Damage/Shield is only 200 (40% of 500).

Q: Rending Slash A hard slash that deals 70/100/130//160/190 (+125% Bonus AD)(+Maximum Ian's Will Bonus) to a target and cleaves nearby enemy targets as well (Works like Diana's Moonsilver Blade, but does physical damage instead). Rending Slash's rending slash holds charges and strikes with 10% Armor Pen that stacks up to 3 times on wounded targets (only).

Cost: 35 Energy Holds 3 Charges that gains 1 charge every: 13/11/9/7/5 seconds (1 sec global cooldown) Type: Single-Target Range: 300 Additional Info: This ability is not a basic attack, it cannot proc Life-steal or On-hit effects. This ability would operate a bit like Lucian's "Q" because while selecting a unit target, a horizontal area is still effected by the slash if they were to be in range.

W: Bountiful Gain Passive: Ian will Mark the highest valued target within 800 radius. If more than one target is worth the same amount of Gold when killed, all targets will be marked. Ian takes 25% less damage from marked targets. Active: Ian prepares himself for further confrontation, gaining a damage shield equal to 50/110/170/230/290 (+ Maximum/Highest Ian's Will gold bonus) and allowing Rending Slash and Stab to have extra range on Marked targets. Hitting an enemy target like this refunds energy and health and applies wounded.

Cost: 15 Energy Cooldown: 15/13/11/9/7 Type: Self-Cast Range: 150

E: Stab Ian does a stabbing gut thrust with the tip of his Gaun Dao that takes 70/105/140/175/210 (+60% bonus Attack Damage)(+Maximum Ian's Will Bonus) damage and debuffs the enemy champion with "wounded" which slows the opponents Attack Speed by 20/25/30/35/40% and steals half of that value's movement speed for 3 seconds. If Ian uses* Rending Slash* on the target within the 3 seconds the debuff is refreshed and spread to all targets that are hit/cleaved. Spreading the cleave stacks the movement speed buff depending on how many targets hit, but does not stack the debuff (Max 3 champs= 60% MS buff).

Cost: 50 Energy Cooldown: 8 at all ranks Type: Single-Target spell Range: 150 Still a single target attack, would work more like Olaf's reckless swing.

R: Mercenary's Reward Ian gains 250% Movement speed an 99% Tenacity as he runs to a enemy Champion. During the charge Ian loses 40 energy per second until reaching his target (Maximum of 5 seconds of running without Runes or Masteries). While chasing the opponent, Ian will have Truesight on them but cannot enter any commands until the target is reached. When he gets to them, he does a very hard slash through the opponent and deals 250/300/350 (+ 100% Total Attack Damage) (+ Maximum/Highest Mercenary's Reward gold bonus), returning 50 energy and inflicting them with the Wounded debuff. Also, the total ULT last 5 seconds after the strike. Granting Truesight on the target 50% Movement when running towards the opponent for the duration.

Cost: 0 Energy (to activate) Cooldown: 120/90/60 Type: Steroid Range: 1750 **IMPORTANT NOTES: ** Think of this as a Melee version Caitlyn's Ultimate, except Ian cannot go over terrain and must take the auto-run path to the opponent. The quicker you hit the opponent, the more beneficial. If an opponent outruns Ian after activation it cancel Mercenary's Reward

Running out of Energy/Not reaching a champion during Mercenary's Reward They got away.... Uggh... couldn't get em. It's not worth it...

Reasons- The Farsight Orb is a great tool because- A. The opponent jukes you and you know where they are but you just need vision to use you Ult to catch up. B. You're fighting a Mage who ran into a brush to gain cooldown time so they can to CC you... Farsight the Brush and use your Ult to close the gap. C. It's a great Clairvoyance replacement D. Since your only Non-Ult ability that gives mobilty is only a 25% buff... Farsight Orb can be used so you dont have to face-check as much.

Champ design overall seems good. Ult seems kind of unbalanced with 250% ms And 99% tenacity. And then i want his e or q to be something else not necessarily revolving around his weapon Per say a shielding attack a ranged attack or something else idk. But last but not least the name of this champ ian? It personally to me does not sound very Ionian again im not a master of making champion ideas hell never really even thought of one and this is just my opinion Sorry if this caused any offense.
