Maokai Visual Update (A fan created render!) [3D model included!]

Why hello "boards", its a pleasure to be back. I have come at you with skin concepts and discussion, however, I now wish to address a dire need: A Maokai Visual Update. I've created a 3D sculpt for my render of what I believe he should become, as well as concept art (which is available upon request). Without further ado, lets break this down a bit.

Things to keep in mind with Maokai:

He's a tree. Forms should be natural, and powerful.
He's suppose to be "twisted", so some sort of feral-like or darkened aspect is needed.
Despite his brutal figure, Maokai has a caring nature, and his sapplings are his children.

Please let me know what you think! I put a lot of effort into this sculpt, and would appreciate feedback! I'm attempting to create a textured/colored version now, and would be more than willing to partner up with someone for an excellent final product. If you have questions, feel free to ask!

I think this has to do with it not having any sort of coloring or shading on it, but Maokai looks more like a brain with a twisted face rather than a twisted tree.

Yeah, I agree with you after being away from it for a few days. It was my first attempt at 3D modeling, and I had no luck with trying to texture it, I appreciate people's honesty. Not that my concept even matters anymore, they've release a Maokai VU, and it looks pretty good. I need to figure out what I should make next though...
