#####Quick hit: Procopio is a marksman who uses high burst, mobility and range to create strong pressure when allowed to gather fury.

Special stuff for Feb MCCC: Morddred's Vandals, Raider, Avarice.

#####Visuals: Procopio is a dusty character who wears a worn, light brown leather duster and matching fedora. Under his open fronted coat he wears chaps and spurs as well as a light cotton shirt under a leather vest/waistcoat. His chest is crossed by two ammunition belts loaded with high calibre rifle rounds. He sports a mustache-goatee and has long, dirty hair, both light red under the dust.

For a semi-accurate description, we can go with this

Procopio is armed with a lever action carbine, and auto attacks by firing it one handed at arms length before performing a gun flipping rechambering.

#####Lore:

They say that raiders are uncivilized, and uneducated. This might be true, but nobody dares call Procopio stupid. A man throughtly without scruples, Procopio came to the Fyrone Flats like many other fortune seekers, looking to make himself a pile of coin in the goldrush. Nobody really knows where he comes from as Procopio himself likes to lie and spin tales to further his mystique. What he tells most often is he came south and signed on with a panning crew, seemingly just another river gazer, looking for the gleam of fortune in the grey silt.

But hard work was never for Procopio, and the first night in the camp, he slit no less than six throats, pushed the bodies into the river, loaded the pannings and anything floggable onto horses then rode off. This set the tone for the start of his bloody trail across the flats, a Desperado murdering his way though honest men.

When mining companies attempted to track down this vicious murderer, Procopio showed the first example of his fierce cunning. He evaded the lynch posse until late in the day, with the western setting sun in the posse's eyes. Desperately scanning the rocky outcrops through squinted eyes, the posse couldn't pick out Procopio when he stood up, and unleashed one of the fastest volleys of rifle fire any of the posse had seen. Five shots in just a pair of seconds felled five of the posse, with the 6th man standing in a daze. The last posse member searched the entire outcrop, but of Procopio, there was no sign.

Procopio's infamy grew with brutal raids on mining camps, audacious robberies of company banks, and an ever growing body count. Soon large, more powerful groups turned their eyes on the solo desperado. A few wanted Procopio dead. But the vicious pirate Morddred knew a more agreeable solution. The desperado was approached with a simple offer. Be the gunman for Morddred's raiders, or be run out of the flats.

The choice was easy for a man with no loyalties but to his own greed. Procopio ride with the raiders, his cunning and marksmanship earning him fistfuls of blood gold. His rise in the raiders continued, even as the summoners of the Institute of War forced fights onto the fields of justice. Procopio found plenty of butchery and gold on the fields, suitable rewards for his efforts he feels.

"You may call me an outlaw, and yes I do sleep in the dirt, but I will find you when you are weak, I will kill you and take the gold off your corpse. You won't see me coming, and you'll never track my trail."

  • Health Regen: 4.75 (+0.6)
  • Fury: 100
  • Attack Damage: 48 (+3.2)
  • Attack Speed: 0.658 (+4%)
  • Armour: 13 (+3.3)
  • Magic Resist: 30 (+0)
  • Move Speed: 330
  • Range: 600 (ranged)

#####Abilities:

Resource: Procopio is a marksman who uses the fury resource to power ability casts. Procopio starts with 0 Fury, and has a cap of 100 Fury. He gains 5 Fury per autoattack, 5 extra fury per enemy champion auto attacked and 10 extra Fury per any unit he kills. When out of combat for 5 seconds, Procopio loses 5 Fury every second.

Passive For Blood and Money: Procopio is on the flats to make himself a pile of gold and a pile of corpses. If he can take gold off corpses, so much the better to relax with, but if he is denied this, his greed congeals into murderous rage.

If Procopio has not killed an enemy champion in the last 90 seconds, he generates 5 fury per second, passively.

Q Buffalo Rounds: Procopio is a scrupleless man and thinks nothing of using big game rounds on whoever he deems worthy of shooting. These heavy steel cased slugs blow right through men and monster alike.

Passive: Procopio's attacks blow through his target and damage enemies behind it. Hitting an enemy with an auto attack will deal a portion of Procopio's attack damage to enemies in a cone behind it.

On hit effect.

  • Splash range: 200
  • Splash cone: 90 degrees.
  • Physical damage: 0.15/0.30/0.45/0.60/0.75 per Attack Damage

Active: Procopio loads in an overpressured, solid lead round, even large than his normal Buffalo Rounds. This massive round smacks into the target which deals massive damage and knocks the target back.

Procopio loses the benifit of the passive while the active is on cooldown as he has to use normal bullets while the barrel cools.

Linear collision skillshot.

  • Range: 900.

  • Projectile width: 100.

  • Projectile speed: 1800.

  • Physical damage: 10/50/90/130/170 (+ 1.4 per Attack Damage)

  • Knockback: 50 units.

  • Cooldown: 8/7.5/7/6.5/6 seconds.

  • Cost: 25 Fury.

W Lever Action Volley: Procopio is a master gunfighter, able to loose a volley from his carbine at incredible speed and accuracy. However, he has to stop attacking afterwards to reload.

On activation gains the Volley Buff and Reload Debuff.

Volley: Procopio's attack speed is raised to 2.5 for 5 attacks or 3 seconds, whichever elapses first. Reload: Reload has a duration of 5 / (AS at Cast) seconds. If Procopio is effected by Reload but not Volley, he cannot make basic attacks.

  • Cost: 25 fury.
  • Cooldown: 14/12/10/8/6 seconds.

This skill does not increase the DPS of the character, as they are limited to making a total of 5 auto attacks while Reload is active. Reload has a duration equal to the length of time it would take to make 5 auto attacks at normal attack speed.

E Into the Setting Sun: Procopio uses the setting sun to blind his enemies and make good his escape.

Procopio blinds and damages all enemies in a cone in front of him. He then becomes stealthed for a short duration. Attacking or casting a spell will reveal Procopio.

Conic skillshot.

  • Range: 600.

  • Arc: 150 degrees.

  • Magic damage: 50/90/130/170/210 (+ 0.6 per ability power).

  • Blind: 1.5 seconds.

  • Stealth: 3 seconds.

  • Cost: 50 Fury.

  • Cooldown: 22/20/18/16/14 seconds.

R The Desperado: Procopio enters the fight, a desire for death and fortune fueling his cunning viciousness. Procopio gains bonus movespeed when moving towards enemies he has damaged, and deals extra auto attack damage based on enemies missing health. His bloodlust lets him shrug off pain as he guns down his enemies.

If Procopio gains a kill or assist while this is active, the duration is extended, and Procopio gains a short duration shield.

Self targeted Steroid.

  • Movespeed bonus: 10/12.5/15% when moving towards enemies Procopio has damaged in the last 10 seconds.
  • Bonus physical damage: 0.1/0.15/0.2 per Attack Damage + 6/7/8% of enemies missing HP.
  • Duration: 8/9/10 seconds + 4 seconds per kill / assist gained while active.

Autocast Shield.

  • Shield Strength: 60/100/140 (+ 0.3 per ability power).
  • Duration: 2 seconds.

The Desperado

  • No cost:
  • Cooldown: 130/110/90 seconds.

#####Gameplay:

Procopio has access to three strong tools that make him a bully in lane. A medium ranged, high damage skillshot poke as well as splash damage on hit gives him strong ranged presence and pushing power. His severe AS steroid gives him very high burst in trades, and his blind and stealth give him easy disengage.

However, his strengths are also his weaknesses, as ability spam will very quickly run him out of fury, and vulnerable to being close on and killed. In addition, he is weak and generates fury slowly after gaining a kill, meaning counter ganks or turning a fight is easier than against other champions. Finally, each of his three main skills have an opening after their use where Procopio is weaker.

In teamfights, Procopio should use his fairly long duration, high power steroid ultimate to enhance his mobility and finish off weakened enemies. Using his W to place strong burst with his Q's passive will allow widespread pain in a cluster of enemies, while E provides a method of chasing or escape if closed on.

To fight against Procopio, you can wait until he uses his W active, for burst as it leaves him silenced. In addition, an ability based attacker with stealth reveal can easily move through the blind and stealth that is his only escape. He can be deceptively powerful with his ultimate active, dealing up to 0.2AD+8%% of missing Hp per auto attack, so engage him with high health.

#####Judgement

Candidate: Procopio Date: 24 Febuary, 22 CLE

Observation

The dusty air of Procopio flows in with his languid, rolling saunter. This is a man who is here purely because he thinks it would be easier than to not be. His worn boots creak as his walk slowly brings him to the door. He stops for a second, placing his carbine on the ground. A rifle of immense bore, Procopio handles the weapon as if it weighed nothing. He straightens his faded leather duster, picks up his weapon and kicks in the door with a calm ease.

Reflection

The darkness inside resolves itself into a tunnel, the rough cut, hastily shored shaft of a mine. The cold whispers of the dust-filled air sighed in and out of the labyrinthine paths though the hills. The night was old, and the miners at rest.

Procopio stole through the shafts, looking for the payvault, where the gold was stored before being sent to town. He continued deeper and deeper into the mine, the darkness pressing into his skin. He dared not risk a light, and was certain he was becoming lost as he stepped out into an open space, a place where the lack of echoes suggested a massive cave.

A damp zephyr blew through the floor of this expansive cavern, as Procopio wandered lost in the darkness. The hours passed and finally, a light emerged from a tunnel. Procopio shielded his eyes as the miner shouted. "There's a thief here, get him!"

Procopio ducked as bullets started to fly at him, and he finally noticed the the walls, floor and ceiling surrounding him were just festooned with raw gold. This was the literal motherlode. Procopio readied his weapon and stood up, his anger not disturbing his aim.

The miner dissolved into bloody chunks, and Procopio started to slaughter his way out, grabbing gold nuggets that fell from the walls in between blasting the miners with his bullets. Procopio felt the disconnect, the trance like state his was in as he relived his memories.

"What sorcery is this!?" His roar echoed off the rock, but silence answered him. He was no longer in his memories, but was still underground, in the dim light of miner lamps, the gleam of the stolen gold and the glisten of the sticky blood he was walking through. A clarity of thought and vision possessed him, and Procopio redoubled his stride, climbing up and out of the mine.

As he reached the entrance, a sole figure stepped out into the silhouette of the mine entrance, blocking Procopios exit. The barrel of the carbine swung up, and the hammer fell, but but the figure seemed unphased by being shot.

"Why do you want to join the league, Procopio?"

The reply was snarled. "For blood and money. The reasons I came here."

The figure suppressed a laugh, then regained their calm, serious demeanour. "You are so simple in what you want, but not so in who you are. Tell me, how does it feel, exposing your mind?"

Procopio paused. He had always done what he wanted, and to have someone else in his mind, it was no worse than the slight nagging of the conscience he once had. Still there was something deeper that he could not place.

"Whatever. It's just another voice in my head. It'll have company."

Best concept I've read yet. I Downvoted you twice so I could upvote it thrice.

Edit: Maybe Graves could be related to him in some way? Partners in crime after TF?

Where's the drive, why does he do what he does? His entire backstory you made is a fight scene, emphasizing he's a cold blooded killer.

He's horribly underdeveloped, though no matter what justifications you bring to his actions, he is still a run of the mill "I kill everyone because I can" character.

Thnk about how he got to where he is, why does he need money, does he need blood to sate something? No man is born heartless, they're a forged breed.
