[Champion concept] Drael, The Beast Tamer
I got the idea to make this champion when my brother and I were talking about the weapon diversity in league and realized there was no champion who uses a whip (don't say
, he just has a CHAIN that he WHIPS to attack, big difference). So, without further ado, here is Drael, The Beast Tamer.
There is little known about Drael; almost everything is rumor, legend, or speculation. The first sighting of Drael was when he was a young boy. He was seen with a dozen animals seeming to follow him through the Reaper Jungle, a part of Runeterra full of deadly animals and plants mutated from magical residue from the war. No man has ever survived the cursed land - no one but this child. From that point, the boy was seen many times over the years, always with more animals, always with deadlier animals, and always watching the outside world; not with malice or longing, but seemingly strategically. Finally, when he was a young man, he emerged from the jungle with a band of some of the most dangerous creatures in the world. He himself sat upon a Goliath Wolf, the largest wolf in the known world, holding a whip he crafted from the hide of a Mountain Drake. He cracked the whips once over the crowd with a sound more powerful than a lightning strike, then swept it once overhead and sliced the tops off of all the surrounding trees. He said, to everyone's surprise, that he came to join a circus that was in town. He quickly gained fame and fans as he traveled the world, amazing crowds with his skill and prowess over the beasts. Some said his performances might one day outclass even Draven. Armed with his whip, which was said to be able to cut clean through a boulder without slowing, there was no beast he could not, or did not, tame. This mysterious man, who had become known as "The Beast Tamer", almost easily showed complete dominance over even the most legendary of creatures and dazzled the public with their strength; whether by making them fight each other or fighting them himself. The man and his whip quickly became legends, and his fans nicknamed his whip "Stormcloud" due to its booming cracks. He and Stormcloud never failed to dominate every opponent he faced. People would often pit him against their own champions who wished to test their strength against him, but they never lasted long. However, as the years went by and he tamed more and more creatures, he had tamed almost every previously untamed beast in the known world. One day, after his last show, he announced his intentions. He cracked Stormcloud overhead, and accompanied by the familiar boom, yelled, "Tonight, I, Drael The Beast Tamer, go to join the League of Legends!"
Passive: Bloody Lashings - every third auto deals 10% of Drael's AD in bleed damage in true damage
Q: Whip Crack - Drael Cracks his whip in a line in front of him and applies the third auto passive of Bloody Lashings. Whip crack slows and deals physical damage based on how far away enemies hit are. (Whip Crack has a 1 second delay and reveals its path upon casting)(medium range)(applies on hit effects to first unit hit)

minimum damage: 20/30/40/50/60(+25% bonus AD)
maximum damage: 80/120/160/200/240(+100% bonus AD)
slow: 20-70% for 1.5 seconds
W: Fight or Flight - Drael (in a similar fashion to Twisted Fate's W) chooses between Fight or Flight. If he chooses Fight, he summons a Goliath Wolf that he then rides, gaining bonus attack damage and attack speed. If he chooses Flight, he summons a Mountain Drake that he then rides, gaining bonus movement speed, armor, and magic resist. Fight or Flight last 3/3.5/4/4.5/5

E: Stand Back - Drael pushes back enemies in a circle around him, dealing a small amount of physical damage and stopping for 0.25 seconds to cast. (scaling radius[small to start, medium-large to finish])

damage: 20/30/40/50/60(+40% bonus AD)
R: Stampede - Drael summons a giant rhino that marks and charges at target opponent, gaining movement speed as it charges. Enemy units caught in its path take trample damage and are stunned for 1 second. Upon reaching its target, it barrels into them, knocking them back and dealing heavy physical damage to target and lower damage to all units around target. The rhino counts as a minion, and can be effected by cc. Stampede deals more damage the farther it goes up to a maximum damage. (shockwave radius=Drael's auto range)(casting range 800)

My goal with this champion is to make a champion with a weak early and strong mid to late game. He excels at distance fighting, but he is really weak at close range combat. My intention is for him to be a fairly squishy adc whose goal is to keep opponents away from himself. Before people start complaining about his ult being op (which I think it might actually be, this is just a rough sketch of sorts), it is intended to do less damage the closer they are, and more the farther they are. Note it takes a VERY long time for it to reach maximum range, and it can be destroyed before reaching its target, as well as being vulnerable to cc. If anybody has any ideas, complaints, or suggestions, please comment, and I will do my best to answer them or change it straight up. I am open to suggestions for all aspects, including lore! Feel free to suggest whatever you want, as long as it is in the same general idea of a beast tamer lore with a whip who has a strong late and mid, weak early, excells at long range and is weak at short.
Edit: alternate idea for the ultimate; probably better, but leaving the first up.
R: Trample - Drael summons a giant rhino that he fires in a global skillshot. The rhino tramples anything under its feet, knocking them to the side and dealing high physical damage depending on how far it has gone. (trample radius=Drael's auto range)
cooldown: 140/110/80 seconds
mana cost: 100/125/150
minimum trample damage: 50/100/150(+40% AD)
maximum trample damage: 150/300/450(+120% AD)
(maximum damage is reached at 9500)
Edit: forgot to mention, I plan on him being a longer auto ranged adc. After all, hes a long ranged fighter.
