[Champion Concept] Harpy, the Heavens Vengeance (Monster Girl)

First off, all names and numbers are not important - is it all about concept and mechanics.

Secondly, this concept is created as a response to this thread about female monsters.

So we begin:

Harpy, the Heavens Vengeance

Lore: I think a Harpy should be from Mt. Targon - our home of greek'ish champions, and a highest mountain is a nice home for avian hero. Targon Event would be great, with retconing the lores of Alistar (his slauthered minotaur tribe can be harmlessly "moved" to Targon) and Malphite (uh, so he is a part of a different dimension where everything is One, great. As well he can be a spirit of the holy mountain, it would suck less and give him something more than an overused puns).

As for a character, I think she should be a really mental sick. Not a boringly predictable jinx-crazy "hurr durr I am craaazyyy I want have fun boom boom anarchy boom". Harpy has split personality and she doesn't have any control over it - she is a shy lame duck AND a vicious beast that want to rip your face off and eat your guts.


Now, the Kit. Tinkering around Harpy kit I ended ultimately in an AD assasin route (yes she use mana). I tried to work around "hard gapclosers" and "deadly burst in 0.5 second" assasins problems.

Passive: Piercing speed(claws?)

After traveling 1500 units, her next two basic attacks ignores %(or flat) of target's armor.

It gives an additional burst of dmg once in a while and promotes being mobile.

Q: Crippling strike

Charges to enemy within small distance (300) to deal 150% total AD dmg and slow it for 1.5s. The slow is prolonged by 0.5s for every 150 units that target travels afterwards, for up to 4s total duration.

Small gapcloser and a stickiness skill. The opponent have an option to manage Harpy in his face for 1.5s, or use escape skill / try to run prolonging the slow.

W: Enchanted Song

Harpy charm enemies around her with her voice for 0.5-1s. The closer they are to her the shorter charm last. Each unit takes magic dmg after it breaks free.

Yes, yes, not only hard CC on assasin but also in AoE (hello Fizz)? I am thinking about it as her "get out or continue rampage" skill. It is weak "in yo face" CC, but it help her when she is surrounded by enemies.

E: Fly high

For next 4 seconds Harpy gets X% MS boost, ignores unit collision and can fly over terrain (but is slowed by 20% when doing so). On kills and assists this effect triggers for additional 2s, even if spell is on CD.

New mechanic! It gives huge amount of new possibilities, ganking routes, dragon and baron snatches. I think about is as a replacement for "instantly gapclose from a half of screen away" skill of other assasins.

R: Vicious Fury

Harpy breaks free from all CC affecting her and all her basic attacks are guaranteed critical strikes for 3 seconds. For the duration half of her normal critical chance rate is added as a critical dmg modifier.

Her main skill for anihilating targets. She needs it to activate it first to kill targets, but its short duration means that CC after she activated it hurts. She doesn't have AS steroid nowhere in her kit and many of the ad AS items give crit chance that she doesn't need, so I added second effect.


Build: I think That BT, IE and LW will be core. As for an AS item, there is great variety! Botrk for active and hpshred; Ghostblade for active, penetration, CDR; Zephyr for CDR, MS, tenacity; PD for well rounded stats.

I would greatly appreciate a constructive feedback 'cause I know that this concept have many rough points but I think we can work it all out togheter :)
