[Champion Concept] Erik The Great (stage magician)
Disclaimer: all names and numbers are not important - is it all about concept and mechanics.
So we begin:
Erik The Great
Lore: Erik was born in a low-class Noxus family. He needed to help his family, so he started entertaining folks on streets, discovering his talent to do so. As years passed, he became the great stage magician gathering hundreds of people on his performances. His talent and skills was noticed by Black Rose, so they made him irrefusable offer which he... refused. He barely escaped Black Rose clutches and sought help in Institute of War, only organization that could protect him from his would-be employers. [Add dramatic part that Black Rose killed his family / stage partner during his escape].
Yay, so we have now completely good Noxian champion, for the first time.
Now, the Kit. In LoL we have already card tricker (TF), and an illusion illusionist (LB), so I decided to focus on a very classic stage performances. Erik is a ranged support / utility mage.
Passive: Applause
For each visible champion (both enemy and ally) around him, his basic abilities have enchanced effect.
Firstly, it makes him more effective as a support in 2v2 lanes (3 bonuses from passive) in comparision to sololane (1 bonus only). Secondly, this gives him a natural tranisition into big 5v5 teamfights.
Q: Is it empty?
Erik toss his top hat in a line dealing damage to all enemies hit (Olaf Q targeting) and the hat remains on the ground for next 3 seconds. After reactivating, the rabbit emerges from the hat charming all nearby enemies for 1 seconds.
Applause bonus: AoE radius is increased by 20 per champion.
Some damage and AoE CC that can be both dodged and set-up. Because the charm is towards the top hat, it grants the ability to move enemies where we want them to be.
W: I have something in my sleeves?
Erik sends a line of shawls in the target direction, damaging and slowing all units hit. The spell can be redirected up to the 2 times towards cursor by reactivating it. Same enemy can be afflicted only once. This spell have no cast time.
Applause bonus: Slow duration is increased by 0.2s per champion.
AoE slow on a tricky skillshot that can came form unexpected angles.
E: Break Free!
Erik liberate allied champion from all CC affecting them, grants them 1.5s MS boost and slightly knocking back all enemies unit around target.
Applause bonus: The total value of MS boost is increased by 5% per champion.
Crucible's effect in champion's kit, "escape artist" skill. Can also be used just for knockback and MS boost to help peel.
R: Grande Finale
Erik release a flock of white pigeons from a targeted ally, shielding him for 6 seconds. The flock deals damage every half second in AoE around target, but the damage decrease as a shield is depleting (e.g when shield is bursted to the 50% of its value, the damage is only 50%).
Ultimate shield that deals dmg. The enemy can burst it down to reduce/negate most dmg, so not only it can be used on squishy targets, but also on divers/tanks - enemy will have a choice of focusing the shield on a tank or eating the damage.
Summary: So we have support with trickshots (offensive skills/cc) and some targeted buffs/peels that can be used both in a reactive and proactive ways. I think he would be picked mostly for his E spell (imagine him with Crucible :P) and Q that can be used for plays.
Build: Standard AP support things I guess.
I would greatly appreciate a constructive feedback, especially on Applause bonuses, 'cause I know that my concepts have many rough points but I think we can work it all out togheter :)
