Pick'Ems but it's Boards because the official one isn't available as of this time
Group A 1st : G2 2nd : Griffin 3rd: C9 4th: HKA Reasonings: Whilst Griffin may have a better mid laner and jungler, G2's bot lane is much stronger than them, and unlike other LCK/LPL teams, Griffin's top laner is quite weak, especially in the current meta where tanks aren't exactly doing well in the top lane. There's also the choke factor for being on the worlds stage for the first time. However, they still absolutely stomp C9 in the jungle and mid, and Sneaky won't be able to carry when Chovy wants to kill him. As for HKA, Playins team lul
Group B 1st: FPX (obviously, duh) 2nd: Splyce 3rd: J-Team 4th: GAM Reasonings: Whilst J-Team was very dominant in the LMS, that was majorly due to an underperforming Flash Wolves along with the lack of competition in the region. Their schedule is also unfavourable as they face against FPX in their first game, which can reveal their weaknesses to teams such as Splyce. They also are prone to choking on the international stage, with all members being at worlds for the first time. However, Gigabyte Marines are worse off as while the VCS as a region are able to take off games against many major region teams from time to time, most notably Lowkey Esports taking a game off Damwon two days ago, and Gigabyte Marines beating Fnatic in 2017, but the recent loss from Damwon along with the amount of innovation of the meta in recent months has made other teams hold their guard up and prepare more against potential cheese, making GAM Esports likely to place 4th due to VCS traditionally not doing great as or against scaling comps, whereas J Team can play both aggressively and defensively.
Group C 1st: SK Telecom T1 2nd: RNG 3rd: Fnatic 4th: Clutch Gaming (obviously, duh) Reasonings: SK Telecom T1 are self explanatory - They performed the best out of any team in the LCK after Rift Rivals, sweeping through the playoffs very convincingly, only not performing better in the regular split due to a 1-5 start in the first half before Rift Rivals. Their current form is much stronger, especially since the competition in the LCK is much higher than other years and other regions, with 8 teams having rosters strong enough to take the top spot. As for Fnatic being below RNG, I'm gonna copy words from some caster whom name I have forgotten: "When you constantly play against another team, you are getting better and better at beating that specific team, which is why FNC are really strong against G2, which is why while Fnatic play really well against MSI champions G2, they aren't necessarily going to do well against other teams" (oh and yuumi got nerfed. That's the main reason) While RNG are less convincing in their games when qualifying for worlds and got 3-1'd by FPX, whom I shall remind you FPX lost to KingZone DragonX in Rift Rivals, a team which didn't even make it to Playoffs in the LCK, they have a much better record in the world championship than FNC ever have done, making it to plenty of finals. FNC has a good roster, but RNG ahve beaten FNC so many times in the many years of worlds due to FNC's strongest lanes being identical to RNG's, but RNG's players outclassing FNC, which due to the Yuumi nerfs reducing the impact of Garen+Yuumi, makes RNG my personal favourite for Second Seed. (And Yes, I do not watch LEC. And it's MY opinion)
Group D (aka the unstable group) 1st: Damwon Gaming 2nd: Invictus Gaming 3rd: Team Liquid 4th: AHQ Esports
Disclaimer: I think that this group has the lowest possibility of having predictions be true, as Damwon Gaming is basically a clone of Invictus Gaming. They both have strong Solo Laners as their selling point, are coached by the same person (IG 2018's coach is DWG 2019's coach), and while Korea is a stronger region, Damwon played really badly in the 3-0 sweep where SKT destroyed them using the best of 5 buff. TL have also beat IG before, and so there's no reason they can't beat either IG or DWG. Reasonings: NA Curse + Counting Koreans. Results: DWG has 5, IG has 2, TL has 1.5 as Impact is an NA resident, and AHQ has 1 (or 0.5, as they have 2 mid laners and the Korean isn't always playing)
