Esports Coaches

I've been watching LCS since season 2, and i know about the coaches since they were allowed but something popped up in mind. Are coaches really useful? I feel like coaches are allowed just to have someone to watch on stage. I understand they help do pick and bans for the team but are they really helping? i feel like the pros understands enough about league that they can ban champs for themselves. The coaches may have different plays for the team when match start. The only thing a coach can affect is the early game, other than that it's all up to the players to play mid-game and late-game. They're gonna get off the stage when game start anyways. Are coaches even pro players? I love to watch them stream or play a game so i can understand how they play and and learn about their knowledge on League. Do coaches communicate with players while they are playing? If not, then its something they need to add because coaches needs to fight with the team not just help the team. Comparing this game to other competitive games like Basketball, Football, baseball, and Soccer they all need coaches to bring the players mentally to calm and play the game. I know its a bad comparison but basketball is a 5v5 sports and they have plays to make like League does. I like to hear what you have to say about my thoughts on esport coaches or tell me what the coaches do that i did not mention.

Are coaches even pro players? No they are not. But it is an official position "PAID" by riot.

Do coaches communicate with players while they are playing? No they are not allowed to communicate after pic ban phase.

Coaching standards overall are very very low in the Professional LoL scene so its not crazy for you to think these things but coaches and analysts that are doing their job have a huge effect on the team and players.

The current model for find a "PRO" coach/analyst is finding someone the organizations is friends with that's diamond1+ and calling them a coach/analyst.

Hope this helps,

Not that I have any inside info... but I feel that coaches help more in the runup to the game ie strategy- especially against upcoming teams, scrims, correcting mistakes during scrims, what champs to practice etc.

Coaches may have some notes that help a little during picks and bans but I do feel the players could handle that. It's not as if the full champion pool is really the champion pool.

And yea... during the game? No effect.
