NA just doesn't have any great teams right now. We have a bunch of slightly better than mediocre teams and a bunch of slightly worse than mediocre teams. Nobody is completely dialed in. And much of that is the amount of changeover we've had this year plus the complete meta shift. EU has 3-4 good teams and the rest are lousy. But when you take the top 3 instead of he whole bunch, they beat us. First place right now is 5-3 in NA. That's great and fun to watch because it's real competitive, but if worlds were held today, it wouldn't bode well for NA at all. But worlds is a ways away. The meta could completely change, teams might start to gel together. Who gets what group? Etc. All these things could go our way or go even worse for us. Who knows? But right now, we really don't have teams standing out and taking command.
For Fox to have Huni pushing while playing funnel such that he had no jungle help implies they're really not up on that strategy. Liquid played ok but then blew the game against Splyce. 100 thieves I guess thought they had to do something about their jungler. So I didn't expect much from them with Sumday out and didn't get much. On the domestic side, who knows what the heck C9 was thinking other than let's dig a deep hole. Nobody is consistent and everyone is still trying to get dialed in but can't seem to.
