Upsets happen in all sports, like a lot. And I am sick and tired of people saying no way X beats Y. When weird stuff happens all the time.
And I am not a C9 fanboy defending his team. C9 will most likely not get out of groups. They might, but FNC and IG are more likely. But stop saying it can't happen!

Angry Monster3 votesi think you miss the point. They beat NA 3rd- 5th in the gauntlet. By all rights they earned the title 3rd. Also they are 3rd seed. either way you want to look at it they are at least 3rd best in NA right now.
3rd seed Eu beat fnatic in games also, so to think 3rd seeds can't pull an upset is mistaken.
daniellizard1 votesApart from the fact that C9 has no chance getting first, I must add that everyone knows that Origen is the Second best team in EU, not the third. Third seed - yes, but second best. We actually saw that today.
I must say OG taking on LGD was a kind surprise even to me - I thought they would be second in D, but they might actually have a chance for first! So yeah, OG taking 2 games of Fnatic seems reasonable. Anyway, we shall see on Sunday :)

I think at this point is shows worlds has shown that 3rd seed is hungry and the gauntlet let people who ran it get a spot they deserved.

c9 is a macro not a micro team.
daniellizard1 votesI don't know man. Most of the eventual first places seem quite hard to beat in Bo5. Maybe if they get against CLG they will have a shot at Semis.
They have played good, but need quite a lot more, and not relying on surprise pick to get there. Maybe they can step up even more - we will see.
But yeah, it seems like C9 second place is possible. Too bad for my Pick'Em challenge though :D

C9 is still too clunky as a team to beat fnatic. Their only chance is with their shoutcalling, but fnatic has yellowstar wich is as good (if not better) as hai. In the end of the day i expect an amazing game that might be a close call. #goFNA and #goC9
