SKT Skins Question

Just a thought about team skins. Just wondering how do champs get selected for skins? For example, how would Quinn get a esports skt skin similar looking to what Kalista got? Would she have to be played in finals or what?

If I remember correctly, the skins team interviewed SKT to see which champs they wanted a skin for, though I may me wrong.

ooooh so they don't have to play the champs in the finals to actually get skins for them. Interesting. Up until now I thought you had to actually play the champ. Just a thought, do you think Quinn would actually look cool in an outfit similar to what Kalista got in skt?

No, they don't have to play them in the Finals. They do have to play the champion during Worlds, though.

Champ skins were decided before by several parts. What champions a player used throughout Worlds, what champ the player requested, and possibly what skins were already in development cutting out a few possibilities. For the three time champs and first back to back, they definitely raised the bar and got lots of feedback from SKT.

I see. Thanks for clarifying. Just a random thought, would quinn actually look good with the skt outfit kalista got? Or will not look good with that type of outfit?

First, the champion has to be played by the player during Worlds. Then, the skins team asks them which one they want a skin for. However, the champion can't already have an esports skin.
