XiaoWeiXiao Coming Back?

YumScrumptious96··1 votes·2,602 views

XiaoWeiXiao was banned in August until February, he was replaced by Gate on TiP. It said he went back to China, I'm just wondering if he's ever coming back to the LCS or other pro league, maybe the LPL since he is a very skilled player and will be allowed to play very soon.

I would like to see him go to Europe, he would do really well there and there are many teams that could use an upgrade in the mid lane specifically. I just remember him for never missing CS. Having like 300+ every game.

YumScrumptious961 votes

Yeah he's definitely one of the the best farming mid laners, could easily improve several teams, especially with his fastest to 300 cs record. I'd like to see him back in NA, get some vengeance on former Impulse members.

MAGA MAN X 20202 votes

he screwed the team, not the other way around lol.

YumScrumptious962 votes

He didn't screw the team, they still were able to compete in the LCS well, and they did kick him out of their house. Feels like right now they could use him.

He didn't screw the team

LOL

He got caught eloboosting people and was banned shortly before playoffs. Why the team should have not kick him out?

YumScrumptious961 votes

Because he didn't take them out of the LCS playoffs, nor did he do anything against the team, he ELO boosted, almost half the pro's have in league. They still play.

Ale non è male1 votes

{quoted}

Because he didn't take them out of the LCS playoffs, nor did he do anything against the team

He left his team without their midlaner with basically no time to replace him for playoffs and gauntlet, forcing them to play with a support main guy as their midlaner for those series, screwing the whole team chances to go to Worlds

What is your concept of scre up people?

YumScrumptious961 votes

Gate did perfectly fine, Impulse was a good team but wasn't one of the top. They lost to Liquid, CLG, TSM even before XWX was gone. And nobody was stopping C9's run through the the gauntlet.

Ale non è male1 votes

Gate didn't do terrible, but was FAR from what XWx or a good replacement midlaner could have done Impulse, in NA only context, was a top team, probably better than TL, C9 (against which they lost 32 in the reverse sweep in the gauntlet with Gate) and 50/50 vs TSM

XWX stopped TiP chances to go to worlds, screwing his mates and his org, he shouldn't got excuses for his behaviour

YumScrumptious961 votes

They were not better than TL, not with Piglet and XSpecial in the bot lane, Adrian was an okay ADC, nothing compared to Piglet, who is probably why TL is still winning some games. They were one of the best four or five teams, seeing as even with XWX they only finished in 4th for the split and playoffs except for their one time third place. If XWX was their only chance to go to Worlds, it seems odd the organization would kick him out seeing as he is to you, the one who made them a world class team and that he wasn't permanently suspended.

Ale non è male1 votes

{quoted}

They were not better than TL

They were, in Summer. Adrian as support was improving a lot after getting some LCS experience under his belt ( he was a rookie in Spring) and team communication was improving because the Koreans had time to improve their English Xpecial regressed a lot in Summer mechanically wise, too Liquid was a good RS team, but they tanked in playoffs, they were on the downfall while TiP was uprising, they would have had pretty good chance to beat TL

If XWX was their only chance to go to Worlds, it seems odd the organization would kick him out

LOL They were forced to kick him out. XWX screwed them in a major way letting them down before playoffs, which is when the org needed him the most They were not a world class team, absolutely not, but probably they were good enough in NA to get a seed to the worlds, which could have convicned their Korean stars to stay in the team for the future After failing to do that, TiP roster basically disbanded in the off-season since their imports stars went in more competitive team on paper and the owner wanted to sell the spot and the org (failng in do it so) He betrayed TiP's trust in himself, and he risked to put in trouble the manager of the team because he was receiving the boosting money on a bank account opened by the team manager for the team because he couldn't when he came to NA (luckily it was sorted out that TiP staff was not involved in XWX behaviour)

Why the hell they should have kept him?

YumScrumptious961 votes

Because you say that he was why they were good and able to compete well, why not keep him, he would've been great for TiP this season, why waste what you have? In the summer Liquid was still better, Quas was able to prevent Impact from hard carrying his team, FeniX was a steady mid laner before, and TL's bot lane was much better than TiP's. Just because Adrian was better doesn't mean his bot lane was. Piglet can smash pretty much each NA adc right now. He did let them down, so have many players, hell even when Jensen was banned for EXTREME toxicity he was a coach for SK Gaming. XWX didn't completely screw them, if without him they couldn't compete against the top 3, then they didn't deserve to be one of the top teams. One player doesn't determine your entire team's skill. Gate, while not being as good, was decent and didn't play badly enough to warrant a loss for TiP. As for his manager, its the only account he could use for ELO boosting, seeing as he still did not have a social security number to make his own. And it was a PayPal account. Not condoning it, but its not like he had a choice to use his own account.

Ale non è male1 votes

Because you say that he was why they were good and able to compete well, why not keep him, he would've been great for TiP this season, why waste what you have?

Because he cauesd the team to disband with his behaviour?

He did let them down, so have many players, hell even when Jensen was banned for EXTREME toxicity he was a coach for SK Gaming

Jensen was banned for DDOSing activity and toxicity in soloQ; he wasn't in any pro team at the time he was banned He was a coach/scrim partner for SK while his ban from pro play was still ongoing, but there was no news of him acting in unprofessional manner while he was with SK org

XWX didn't completely screw them, if without him they couldn't compete against the top 3, then they didn't deserve to be one of the top teams. One player doesn't determine your entire team's skill.

Wut? TiP could have challenged for a top 3 spot even without XWX, if they had the time to search for a proper replacement in mid lanegiven that they still had Impact-Rush. TiP couldn't compete because they had NO TIME to get a proper replacement and they were forced to use Gate, who did perform better than expected, but not as well as a proper replacement in mid lane could have done

As for his manager, its the only account he could use for ELO boosting, seeing as he still did not have a social security number to make his own. And it was a PayPal account. Not condoning it, but its not like he had a choice to use his own account.

The manager was cleared free from any accusation of doing anything irregular, the PayPal account was intestated to him because the player could not had one at the time The only guy guilty of ELO boosting and selling an account with everything unlocked granted by Riot to pro players was XWX, and he had the choice of not doing it so and act properly, which he didn't

From the XWX official ruling

What about Alex Gu and Team Impulse management? Is there any reason to believe they were involved?

XiaoWeiXiao made use of Alex Gu’s PayPal account to collect payment for Elo boosting, which raised questions about whether Alex or TIP management was involved in the alleged Elo boosting. After speaking with Alex and XiaoWeiXiao, both denied any involvement or knowledge of TiP management in XiaoWeiXiao’s Elo boosting or attempted account selling. Both maintained that when XiaoWeiXiao first began streaming in the United States he found that he could not set up a PayPal account without a Social Security Number, so he opted to use Alex’s instead in order to collect stream donations. Other members of Team Impulse corroborated that Alex never discussed or encouraged Elo boosting with team members. Alex maintains that neither he nor any other TiP players used the PayPal account; XiaoWeiXiao was the primary user of the account. XiaoWeiXiao maintained that he acted alone, without the participation of TIP management or his teammates.

Our investigation ultimately uncovered no evidence to indicate that Alex Gu was knowingly involved with XiaoWeiXiao’s Elo boosting or attempted account selling.

Was Rush involved in the Elo boosting?

While Elo boosting, XiaoWeiXiao duo queued many of his games with his teammate Rush to help boost the account more quickly. When asked, both players denied that Rush knew that XiaoWeiXiao was Elo boosting. Based on our conversations with XiaoWeiXiao, Rush, and several other sources we believe that Rush did not realize that XiaoWeiXiao was Elo boosting. As a result, we are not penalizing Rush in connection with this case.

What the hell are you talking about, I never claimed anyone else was involved, you are making too many assumptions, I never said Rush was involved, I never said his manager was. As for TiP needing time for a replacement, that's if they actually got one and we don't know what would have happened. If they did get a replacement it would've taken time to get them in sync with the team. As for Jensen, I just said he coached for SK, he couldn't do anything toxic because he was banned permanently, was he gonna steal someone else's account to use? No. The team did not disband because of XWX, they disbanded because they wanted a high level team and Impulse was not one of the top 2, which is what Impact wanted to make. They made their own decision to leave, XWX didn't force them to. And if they left because of them, shit happens, that's always a guarantee and every player accepts that when they join a team. I'm tired of reading your badly thought out replies.

Nope.

and there are many teams that could use an upgrade in the mid lane specifically

Nope

He would probably be a relevant upgrade for 2-3 teams at most in EU (basically Eika, Betsy and Diamond-less Fox), and it is not worth to add in a player potentially problematic for having similar performance of the guys available out there

I don't think XWX will ever come back to competitive playing as he does much more money boosting, but if he comes back, the best option by far would be NA.

TheMinionLeader1 votes

XWX is on the same lvl as Power of Evil in mid lane. If you think otherwise you are delusional. He is extremely skilled and Bjergsen had trouble keeping up in gold with him in many games. Your response makes me wonder if you ever watched him play. TIP had a good chance to take 1st-4th place in NA last season if he did not get banned.

XWX is on the same lvl as Power of Evil in mid lane.

And If this is true as you are saying (and it is not, imho, PoE is better), then why go for import XWX then? Isn't it better to get an EU better with no history of toxicity above an import guy of the same level which had big behavioural problems in the past? Bjergsen got shitted on by PoE too, so that's nto an argument...no one is saying XWX is bad, but for a Eu team is a no brainer, you can save an import slot to upgrade another position and get a less problematic player with PoE The only teams for which it could/would be worth the risk are the one mentioned, so it make FAR more sense for XWX to go to NA, if he ever come back (and in NA he could also get resident status, too)

YumScrumptious961 votes

You know of Svenskeren right? The guy who was banned for toxicity and is now jungler for TSM. Almost like their skill overrides one or two actions.

Ale non è male1 votes

Except Svenskeren was rightly considered better than Na junglers, while by your same admission he is on same level than most Eu LCS mid laners (he is not, but whatever, for sake of argumenting we assume he is)

Take the risk of Sven when you get a vast upgrade talent wise? It can be seen as worth Take the risk of XWK where you won't get an upgrade talent wise, but a lateral move at best? For sure it IS NOT worth

YumScrumptious961 votes

It wasn't my admission that he was the same, please read before commenting, XWX is a upgrade in talent/skill by a lot, several pro's admitted that he was the scariest member of LMQ because he was never behind in lane, always able to stay relevant in the game. He is an upgrade talent wise, let's look at his pentakill on TSM, which took plenty of skill that many mids don't have. Svenskeren was way more toxic than XWX, how is XWX not worth even though he's less of a risk and still a great player. As for Sven, is he really that great? He wasn't even the top jungler in EU nor is he the top in NA.

Ale non è male2 votes

Uhm, ok?

{quoted}

XWX is on the same lvl as Power of Evil in mid lane.

Yeah, you admitted it (P.S. I don't agree, but whatever)?

XWX is a upgrade in talent/skill by a lot, several pro's admitted that he was the scariest member of LMQ because he was never behind in lane, always able to stay relevant in the game. He is an upgrade talent wise, let's look at his pentakill on TSM, which took plenty of skill that many mids don't have.

For NA teams? Sure! For EU teams? NO That's the core problem He is an upgrade over: Febiven? No Power of Evil? No (your admission) Ryu? Lateral move talent wise but is not worthy for h2k to do the swap Nukeduck? Same as above PerkZ? XWX is more proven on pro scene but talent wise is a no Sencux? The same as above Pepii? He is the one that carried his team twice to avoid relegations and XWX won't do any better with his same team

XWX would represent a relavnt upgrade for few teams, and XWX would have not interest to go there in these low tier teams neither these teams would have money to convince him to go , because if they had those money they could just grab some of the EU mids that flew to Na like a Froggen or incarnati0n

That's why it does not make sense AT ALL XWX in Eu, not because he is a bad player, but because it is not worth for the teams that could afford him to get him, and it would make no sense for him to go to a low level EU team

Svenskeren was way more toxic than XWX, how is XWX not worth even though he's less of a risk and still a great player. As for Sven, is he really that great? He wasn't even the top jungler in EU nor is he the top in NA.

Compared to Western competition? Yes Was for sure top 2-3 Western jungler in entire S4 (only Meteos could have been argued as equal good or better as him in S4), was the best Western jungler overall in the first half of Spring S5 and was still top 3-4 at the end of Spring S5, not beceause he worsened his performances but because the EU LCS competitors stepped up (Jankos, Kikis and Reignover)

If you give a pass to SK player for the Summer Split performance due to the organizational problems they had with Sk org - and if you give it to Forg1ven why Sven shouldn't get it? - , yes, he was consistently great compared to Western competition in his role, so it could have been considered as worth to take him despite his past toxicity issues

XWX has never been so good compared to the whole Western competition in his role, the mid lane role, he has looked great only compared to the non existent NA mid lane competition of the past season where except bjergsen there wasn't a mid laner that could compete with the international competition For EU it is not worth to waste bunches of money and an import slot on him where there are better/cheaper/less problematic options. For NA teams that have less otpions in mid lane and DO NOT have to spend an import slot on him, it could surely be worth to get him

YumScrumptious961 votes

You've based this whole thing on my admission, which came from someone else. Seriously are you blind?

TheMinionLeader (NA) - 3 days ago

XWX is on the same lvl as Power of Evil in mid lane.

You literally put that in then claimed it was my admission. As for teams not willing to get him when they could get other players from EU, those mid's are in NA already, under contract and wanted to go to NA rather than be in EU. Whereas XWX is not under any contract and could improve multiple teams, seeing as he was able to beat Bjergsen on occassions, despite Bjerg being the supposed best midlaner in the west. All of your points are based on false claims and your personal opinion of XWX's skill.

Ale non è male2 votes

I put it in there? LOL, it was your post

YOU said XWX is on same level as Power of Evil, not me (I don't agree with that as poE is better) Then you would argue that for an Eu team it would make sense to prefer XWX, which YOU said is on same level as PoE, to the same PoE for which Eu teams doesn't need to spend an import slot and has a far less problematic history?

LOOOOOOL

Froggen wanted to go in a bad team in NA for any reason other than money? Please. Just Please If EU teams had enough money as the ones that would be needed to convince XWX to stop his eloboosting career and come back, they could have afford surely to kept Froggen and build a competitive team around him

despite Bjerg being the supposed best midlaner in the west

supposed by who? He is/was the supposed best midlaner in NA scene before this off-season and influx of import players, given that Na scene was vastly inferior to EU one on mid lane and Bjergsen was stomped by international competition including Eu mid last season

All of your points are based on false claims and your personal opinion of XWX's skill.

Except I was not downplaying XWX's skill. and I wasn't making false claims. I was arguing that for an EU team does not make sense to get XWX because having a player pool big enough of players with skills better or comparable to EU one, doesn't make sense for them getting a player who is more expensive, has a very problematic past 8and present) and force them to use an import slot they can save to improve other positions

It is you that were arguing that Eu teams should get XWX because he is a so much improvement in talent to overcome all the downsides connected to him...except I showed you this is not correct

YumScrumptious961 votes

Oh my god, how can you still not read yet somehow type. I even showed you that someone else said he was as good as PoE, who is said to be the best mid in EU right now. As for EU mids in NA for the money, Froggen did, but he also wanted to build a team after Alliance's failure, and let's look at Alex Ich, been around a long time, joined a team in the Challenger Series, somehow I don't think joining a low class team that wasn't even in the LCS was for money.

Now let's get to Bjergsen, if you watched stuff other than LCS games you would hear from multiple casters and players that they think Bjerg is the best. Hell, even Quickshot said he was better than Faker in a 1 on 1 situation. He's not getting stomped in lane, the rest of his team isn't performing up to what they would expect, like DL not showing up as much to carry.

Onto your last point, this whole time you've been saying that XWX isn't good enough to counter his behavior. This is untrue. You never even once showed me it was incorrect, you just said he's not good enough to warrant his actions, nor is he very problematic, from what I've seen and checked out he's only got this singular incident against him, which many players have. Also, we don't know how expensive he is, he hasn't gotten any offers yet nor do we know the prices. Forcing to use an import slot? He's was listed as a resident in NA, also there are plenty of teams that could still get an import, and they can use him to improve their mid lane, seeing as you've put no evidence on why he isn't as good as other mids. For god's sake, stop and read the previous comments, I never said he was as good as PoE, maybe he's better, we don't know but I still never said it. And give me evidence on why he isn't a good mid laner to pick up, rather than just saying he's toxic for one incident that's happened to countless other players.

And to prevent you being a fool again I'm gonna put this here

Ale non è male1 votes

Sorry, the best mid in EU is Febiven As for Froggen, wow, we have seen what team has been built even before visa issues, LOL, he could have built a mediocre team like that in Eu too, the reason why he left is because, mediocre for mediocre, at least get money in NA And Alex Ich joined NA after he could not carry CS teams in LCS in EU, so your right, that's not money, that's wanting to stay in LCS and taking the easy route (especially before off-season, he would have placed around the half of LCS midlaner)

Hell, even Quickshot said he was better than Faker in a 1 on 1 situation.

LOL. That's not make it ture. Bjergsen is not the best midlaner in the west, he has lost multiple times lanes vs international competition and his world showing wasn't really good. He is not bad by any means, he is one of the best...but the best? Please. Especially when you got to use Bjergsen strength in a wrong way to sustain your devious reasoning about why it would make sense XWX in EU

He's was listed as a resident in NA, also there are plenty of teams that could still get an import, and they can use him to improve their mid lane, seeing as you've put no evidence on why he isn't as good as other mids.

For EU teams, he has so much issues that aren't overcome by his talent level alone to make it worth to get him, and this doesn't deduct something from his value as player XWX is going to be very expensive for ANY team to sign him, because he is making a lot of money upon his boosting career. This has been reported multiple times by multiple people, you can just check it out on internet Now, assuming Eu teams have enough money to afford him, why they should look at him when EU midlaner talent pool is so filled with player with value similar or superior to XWX, including also the guys that left EU for economic reasons? Once you theoretically add Bjergsen, Incarnati0n, Froggen to replace the worst guys actually in EU LCS, XWX would represent a slight upgrade at most against the worst remaining guys in EU, that would be the likes of Nuke, Pepii and such

"Forcing to use an import slot? He's was listed as a resident in NA"

Right, he is a resident in NA. NOT in EU. For EU, he would count as import. Even admitting teams other than H2K want to spend a slot for mid, and have lot of money (the ones needed for get XWX), why they wouldn't also look at ALL the other options for imports out there, including the top Korean mid laners that are superior to XWX, and some of them also cheaper?

Keep in mind, I have not even mentioned the concerns about his past behaviour problems so past, and of course they would play a big role when stacked together with the other things mentioned

All in all, it not make sense for an EU team to pick up him. Not because he is bad. I have NEVER said it. He is REALLY good. He is as good as most of EU mid lanerrs But, if EU teams had the resources/possibility to get him, they could use those resources FAR better to improve their teams rather than puring it on XWX, while having less risks (given XWX past history) Get Nukeduck/Pepii/Sencux/PerkZ along a big import in another role or get a top Korean midlaner would make more sense for EU teams

For NA teams, if they have the possibility and XWX is interested, heck, it would make A TON of sense to get XWX, because of his NA resident status. Being able to save a slot in midlane to get an import in another ole would be huge, and woud allow XWX team to do what TSM did and suprass the 2 imports limit, getting stars from other regions

YumScrumptious961 votes

Korean mids aren't going to go to EU for a low sum, they go to China for plenty of money. Bjergsen is an extremely skilled mid, you don't take into account interference from other lanes or his team's problems. He also has to shot call for his team, which a lot of mids dont do. What qualifies you to judge on which player is best or not when you haven't even got any form of pro experience? I'm tired of you trying your hardest to find your way around what I say. I like how you completely ignored the fact that you mistook someone else's words for mine for days and when I prove you are wrong you don't acknowledge it. Very mature of you. I'm tired of arguing with someone who can't put up a reasonable counter-argument.

Ale non è male1 votes

{quoted}

Korean mids aren't going to go to EU for a low sum

XWX isn't going to EU either for a low sum, that's what you are not getting. You are going to need about the same amount of money to get XWX and top korean midlaners

Bjergsen is an extremely skilled mid, you don't take into account interference from other lanes or his team's problems

Did I say he is bad? No. But he got soloed multiple times and he made mistake on his own on latest international competition he showed up He is extremely skilled but not the best in the West right now

I'm tired of arguing with someone who can't put up a reasonable counter-argument.

The only one that hasn't put a reasnoable counter-argument is you when I showed you why it makes no sense for Eu teams to get XWX...and for the last time, it not make sense not because XWX isn't good enough, he is, but because

  1. is basically impossible Eu teams can afford him
  2. if Eu teams could afford him, they could allocate the same resources in a more efficient way
YumScrumptious961 votes

You don't get what I'm saying. You say there are better players to import, I said not cheaply and you just say it isn't cheap for XWX. Yeah but he's still good enough to compete on a international level, making him a worth pick on a well formed team. You said Bjergsen wasn't the best, yet he consistently performs extremely well, yes his Worlds showing wasn't good, neither was half of the players at the tournament. Kakao underperformed, pretty much all of LGD was doing badly, H2K did horribly, they weren't going out of their group but they could've been better. Bjerg won the 1v1 tournament, making him probably the best in the West, I don't care if you say its because they didn't take it serious, all players tried hard to do well. You aren't putting up a counter argument at all. EU teams can afford them, if they can afford Spirit and Ryu. And what are they gonna do with that money if not on XWX, buy a korean player, not a chance. You are so petty, this whole time you went off of me saying he was as good as PoE yet I never said that, when I prove that multiple times you ignore it. Seriously, man up and accept you got something wrong rather than be a child.

Well as long as he stops elo-boosting people, then I don't mind him returning. Hopefully he plays back his epic Karthus instead of the everyday boring Varus Zed Leblanc Anivia Corki I've been watching in every game.
